Brave the Elements and Rootborn Defenses are really your best defense against control. Mono white has issues dealing 1 card... and that is Cyclonic Rift . that can be the most devastating end game option against mono white because it get around both cards. Master of Diversion is fantastic against control because it gets around those pesky Yoked ox's and allows you to tap Thassa and other imposing monsters that stand in your way of a quick kill. The only thing I could maybe think of to really help you get around a potential Cyclonic Rift is a well timed Silence .
