What is everyone's favorite card from m14 that has been spoiled up to this point? How are you hoping to use it and what cards are you dreading playing against? What will you do to combat them?

For me, I am most excited about Archangel of Thune. I think she is versatile and a good fit for many decks, and she help some current archetypes survive into the rotation of Innistrad. My plan is to use her in Bant to replace the Restoration Angel. She can't blink, true, but we are losing Thragtusk anyway so there isn't a ton I will be playing that I want to blink. Also, I am used to gaining life from Thrag, so her lifelink into being getting bigger will be nice, also. I have also been experimenting with R/B/W, and feel she would be a perfect fit here, making her big in all the right ways with Extort triggers off key cards and Ghost Daddy sucking life from the opponent. She gets my preemptive MVP vote for M14. That probably won't change bc she seems solid no matter what else is spoiled. Lets hope for a kick-ass, stable Chandr, though, bc I am unimpressed by Garruk.

I am most worried about Doom Blade being reprinted here. While I will have a field day with this card in my R/B/W deck, I don't maindeck enough counter magic to deal with how much removal is available for people playing certain colors right now. Jund could literally be 24 land, 24 removal, and 12 creatures and unless you match up against control, you are introuble without playing it yourself. To deal, I will be sideboarding Dispel for Bant and Boros Charm for R/B/W.

Now it's your turn; Tell me what excites and acares you the most ou of M14 so far!!!

Savage Summoning is going to be awesome. I think it will do a decent job keeping control in check. And it might even see some play in Control decks. I'm already thinking up a Bant Flash Control deck that uses it. Use it to cast Prime Speaker Zegana and it's practically a cantrip.

It will also be interesting to see what Scavenging Ooze does to modern.

Mutavault will be great for control of any color.

And Young Pyromancer is gonna tear it up.

It's expensive and impractical, but I love Colossal Whale. What a fantastically-flavored card.

I think we will see a lot of Graveyard Eater decks between Scavenging Ooze and Deathrite Shaman . I also like the flavor of Collossal Whale...it may be abused by some deck this time around. Remember, new Garruk can cheat him out for FREE

Not a 'new' favorite, but Shivan Dragon is something I want to play with again. I'm hoping Nightmare makes it to m14 also. But I'm probably going to do some esper control again in the 'next standard'.

its nice to see Shivan back, I agree. With Thundermaw rotating red needs a finisher. I always wanted to try my hand at Esper but I just can't stay away from Bant and I am enchanted by BWR at the moments (no I don't play the Aristocrats).

Ogre battle driver seems like it may be replacing hellrider. I agree young pyromancer isn't one to be ignored. Savage summoning also looks powerful. There's also a 3 mana fliers cost 1 colourless less to cast on i think a 2/2. That might see a bit of play. Jace is back so mill still has a shot at competitive play.

Definitely Doom Blade . Nothing else really excites me. I'm hoping for a new cheap draw spell to replace Think Twice , which I will miss :(
