When Supreme Verdict rotates out how OP is U/W Heroic going to be because the new board wipe isn't going to be non-counterable is it?

Yeah, its way to early to speculate.

But no doubt it'll be ten times better.

Yeah, it's too early when we don't know what Journey Into Nyx and M15 will give us.

Seems to me that this is a fairly obvious question that magic R&D will think of and find a way to correct. But again, we'll have to wait and see.

I agree that it's still way too early, but at the same time, BNG did just give us Fated Retribution . It's a little costly and not uncounterable, but it's also an instant. You could cast it on their turn and burn up their mana and counters, then hit them with something else on your turn. It's not the most ideal solution, especially for U/W control, but it's all we have to go on until we see what JOU, M15, and the next block bring us.

Just because an archetype can beat wraths for cheap doesn't automatically make it tier 1. Boros Charm and Golgari Charm beat Supreme Verdict for 2, yet Boros and Golgari aggro are nowhere near tier 1. I honestly have a hard time believing that any Heroic deck will ever be at the top; instant-speed removal in the format is too good.
