Omnath, Locus of Rage combo kills

I have this crazy idea that I'm sure other people have thought of as well. Basically Omnath, Locus of Rage then a bunch of cards to get lands into play fast like Animist's Awakening Nissa's Renewal etc. Then you use the Dragon Tempest + Descent of the Dragons Combo, sacrifice all your elementals brought into play by Omnath doing 3 damage each, if that's not enough to kill your opponent you have a bunch of haste 4/4 dragons that also deal damage when they come into play. Seems like it could be pretty OP

Why don't you just bring in dragons from a bunch of small creatures that also ramp you? The whole omnath part is superfluous.

It doesn't seem like there's going to be a whole bunch of small rampy creatures anymore besides rattleclaw mystic and shaman of forgotten ways. Seems like it could be a fun killer combo, i dunno

Omnath, Suspension Field, Great Aurora. That's the combo.

Except the combo already works (albeit slow and inconsistent) without Omnath, Locus of Rage. Adding Omnath, to the combo doesn't make it better or more efficient. In fact it probably does the opposite because you now have to get him into play first and then create elementals with his landfall trigger. Don't forget Dragon Tempest is already dealing damage from all the dragons entering play. Your not gonna make your opponent any more dead, so adding in Omnath and extra ways to trigger landfall would just be irrelevant stuff the deck doesn't need.

You could call it a second win condition, but then you just end up with 2 expensive combos as win conditions and no way to get you to the late game because of all the enablers you need for both strategies. Not to mention, they could just kill Omnath in response to Descent of the Dragons and only take 3 damage instead of 3 damage for every elemental you destroy with Descent of the Dragons. Which puts you in a position where you've added Omnath and all those enablers only to produce the exact same effect as the original combo. It's just a lot of extra work for no real benefit since the original Dragon Tempest+Descent of the Dragons combo would be more efficient.

Alright I guess it's a bad idea to use him in that combo, but I still think he'll be good in some kind of G/R deck anyway.
