For cards like Peel from Reality , does a creature in a graveyard constitute one that "you don't control"?

I doubt it but it's worth asking. I'm looking for a blue card similar to Disentomb and haven't found anything in Standard that works.

This card will return a creature that is on the battlefield to your hand and one creature your opponent controls to their hand. A creature in the graveyard cannot be targeted by this spell, it specially needs to specify graveyard interaction. You own the cards in your graveyard, you don't control them unless their on the battlefield.

if a card is not in play it is always followed by the word card you can disentomb creature cards but you can't peel from reality creature cards only creatures. similarly with cards on the stack it will always refer to those as spells but not cards.

I am sure that is not what you wanted to hear, however, if your looking for graveyard interaction try splashing black into the deck. There are plenty of cards that can do what you want. The standard re-animator decks are considered the deck to beat.

If a card just says "creature", then it's referring to a creature on the battlefield. Any time else, a card will specifically say "creature card".
