What are peoples feelings on deck styles post journey and the big key players from the set.
Im thinking that mono decks are looking strong with all the hydras, new red cards allow some interesting combos, black is always a thing, blue devotion is strong and white has good removal and heroic.
Mana Confluence allows interesting plays with splashing into 3 colours. But my mono R deck uses it for interesting side boarding (plumet and boros charm).
Ajani fits into selesnya aggro and auras well, that ultimate though? Hard to get too and i think gg unless you have a way to clear the board and over run them.
Athreos has his place and we all know how to get abusing him.
Iroas is another strong card and boros staple. Batallion aggro abuse.
Keranos if you can stay alive to play him it gets nasty.
Kruphix looks like a commander card to me. Storing mana and noax hand size. I looked into heavy ramp and x mana spells but its not greatly viable but would be fun. Mindgrind or volcanic getser for 10 and overload spells as win cons?
Pharika, what is this. There are a few combos out there.
Godsend i think this is another card for selesnya or mono w. Ramp of nykthos to get it equipped asap.
Sage of hours. Many combos being explored with him so far in simic and bant.
Prophetic flamespeaker, my personal fave new card. Mono r win con if used right.
I wonder how good hex proof will be with the loss of the really aggressive ravnica enchantments.

That will depend on what M15 brings us. Personally I hope it will be fine because I am really liking the deck right now.
Bassara Tower Archer Has solidified this deck a great deal.

Naya hexproof is around I'm my meta. Aegis of the gods is another good addition from journey

i think a Rakdos minotaurs will be a thing now that there's a versatile 1 drop in Gnarled Scarhide for it to run.
also a sleeper in the set I think is Battlefield Thaumaturge whether it be a UB mix or UW blitz the guy is pretty solid, makes Ultimate Price a 1 drop, makes Dauntless Onslaught a 1 drop and Launch the Fleet with the UW blitz is pretty funny.

Glimpse the Sun God now cost W to tap down the entire field of your opponent and trigger all your heroics, all before blockers are declared.

I have played against several hexproof decks online on untap.in and they are hard to handle even in this removal heavy standard. I'm seriously considering running extra enchant hate just to avoid getting pummeled. Lol

[user:playingonabudget] that's not technically correct. It will cost 1 lest to cast still so if you want x to be 8 you will only pay 7 and the W to cast the spell. It still only reduces the cost by one.

@kapow20 -- Launch the Fleet is what I assume you are referencing and with Battlefield Thaumaturge on the field it will in fact reduce it to practically nothing to mess your opponent over hardcore.
Because of how the cards are worded you essentially get to pick additional targets for free. And since the spell itself initially targets a creature it reduces the initial cost as well so the end result is target as much as you want for W.

Bellock86 it was Glimpse the sun god that was referenced.
Im looking at a combo for Thaumaturge, Launch the Fleet and the red god that is a hell of a mess for an opponent :)

Glimpse the sun god is the same as launch the fleet. I say I'm casting glimpse the sun god targeting 8 creatures, It then cost 8 less to cast because of battlefield thaumaturge. Google it if you don't believe me. I'm pretty sure it is mentioned on a judges page. Sorry I can't link cards on my phone.
