I just took a look at the deck of the PT DGM winner Craig Wescoe and was a bit suprised/confused:
He played GW and his landbase was 4x Temple Garden , 1x Selesnya Guildgate (!), and the rest basics.

Anyone has a reasonable explanation why he would choose the Guildgate over Sunpetal Grove ?

The PT was Block format for Return to Ravnica (i.e. players could only use cards from RTR, GTC, and DGM).

Him winning also explains why Voice of Resurgence has jumped to $40 recently.

Not really just him, though, @acbooster. Pretty much anything in that PT that was running GW ran him, because he just says screw off to control decks, which was an extremely high majority in the meta.

Right. He also appeared in a lot of the Spring State Championship decks, mostly as a sideboard card for Junk Rites. I'm watching him over the weekend and selling him now if he doesn't go up anymore.
