Quickest Infinita mana combo in STD?

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a quicker infinite mana combo in Standard, using current and/or cards or spoiled GTC cards.

What I have is 4 turns.

T1: Forest - Arbor Elf

T2: Breeding Pool - Illusionist's Bracers

T3: Forest - Galvanic Alchemist (soulbond with Elf)

T4: Island - (Equip Bracers to Elf) - Use elf to untap the Breeding Pool and another Forest - Use 3 untapped land to untap Elf (ability is duplicated)

You can now untap the elf twice tapping it to untap 2 land each time, providing 4 mana... use another 3 to untap the elf twice.... rinse repeat.

it works really well. My favorite so far is more mana-intensive, but works on its own and is sturdier.

Deadeye Navigator , Zealous Conscripts , Gilded Lotus .

you get 3 mana, use it to blink the conscripts, then untap the louts and repeat. You also steal all their stuff and get to attack for a lot every turn.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Illusionist's Bracers specifies that the abilities that can be copied cannot be a mana ability. Since the ability given via Soulbond to Arbor Elf costs 2U, it is a mana ability and therefore will not be copied by the Bracers. So, you can feel free to pay 2U to untap two lands, but since both of those lands produce only one mana, you will actually lose a mana every time you use this combo.

Please, however, correct me if I am incorrect in what constitutes as a "mana ability."

A mana ability is an ability that produces mana, not one that uses mana. Since Arbor Elf doesn't produce mana, this combo should be fine.

Mana abilities are those which produce mana. It does not refer to the costs associated with the ability.

Axebane Guardian , and card:Avacyn's Pilgrim are examples of creature abilities which are mana abilities.

There is a better definition, and more details around it, but neither of the abilities being doubles in this combo are mana abilities.

Okay, thank you all for correcting my misconception. That being said, this is a really cool combo! Nicely conceived!

BossLeiser I think they mean a mana "activated" ability, which means an ability which must pay mana for.

Well never mind, guess i'm wrong xD

a mana ability is one that produces mana, not one that costs mana. Wih the correct manipulation of the stack, this combo works. card:Avacyn's Pilgrim has a mana ability. Galvanic Alchemist and Arbor Elf do not.

Note however that one land has to be Breeding Pool and unless you use other dual land(s), all the additional mana produced will be green. Abundant Growth on a Forest could be used for mana of any colour

Took me a minute, haha. I was staring at it going, so you can untap Arbor Elf twice and untap a land each time... you're still losing a mana. Then it hit me, bracers triggers for the lands untapping as well. Nice.

I want to make it BUG, so that with an Overgrown Tomb and Mind Grind you can mill for infinite turn 4.

If you go BUG, you can also add in Crypt Ghast to hasten the mana production.

I'm looking at keeping it UG to hasten the card drawing...

Prototype deck: Milly Defenders

Still lots of cards to come... here's hoping that there are more cards to assist with this.

Sorry I'm late (VERY late). There's a quicker one. Breeding Pool + Arbor Elf + Freed from the Real You basically tap breeding pool and get a blue mana. Then, you use Arbor Elf to tap breeding pool again. Then, you use Freed from the Real to untap Arbor Elf and you're left with one extra mana. This could also work with a forest enchanted to make mana of any color.

And I didn't even know it was reanimated. I'm losing my touch. Must be because it was in January, aaaand that 3 can be mistaken for a 5 x.x

ANYWAYS!

Shame on you Tevqoon for reanimated an old thread!

@Tevqoon: That's not even Standard legal now or at the time this thread was still relevant. And it doesn't do anything but tap and untap your permanents. Those three cards don't generate infinite mana on their own.
