Random thoughts before bed

While looking through my cards to find what I needed for a deck, I came across a few that gave me some ideas. If I didn't get these thoughts of my head, I wouldn't be able to sleep, so here goes.
Number 1 - Spiteful Shadows
I'm thinking this could be a possible sideboard choice against Boros Reckoner . Sure, you could just destroy/exile Reckoner, but I think it would be more fun to copy the effect back onto its controller.
Number 2 - Blood Artist with Seance
I know Seance is a rogue card, but I could see it being used in a creature-heavy deck where you fear board wipes. Once an Artist has died and you've established a decent board state, you can Seance a Blood Artist on your opponent's turn to discourage against a wipe.
Number 3 - Tragic Slip and Death Wind
There are a lot of ways to make creatures indestructible, so I think that -X/-X removal will gain more popularity. Tragic Slip has been used for a while, but I don't think I've seen Death Wind . I think Death Wind could become a viable, versatile option against some decks as a way to either remove a creature or neuter its combat effectiveness (for a turn).
@Carsf; you can. It triggers on EACH upkeep; including your opponents'.

It says "At the beginning of EACH upkeep..." so it triggers on your opponent's upkeep, too.

Commenting on the main topic now... I think ideas 1 and 2 are cute; but not very competitive. I don't think they're top tier plans, but I'd say they'll probably pretty fun to have, and you can force your opponent to play around them. Kudos for that :D
Idea 3 though... May be viable. Indestructible will be more prevalent with Boros Charm out but Death Wind just seems potentially too high cost for spot removal... Tragic Slip is pretty nice but it needs other conditions to shine and that holds it back from being big... But I could see it making it somewhere.

Tragic Slip would best be utilized in a deck with Gravecrawler , u can get the crawler to die fairly easily just by swing with it each turn, and then recasting it from the graveyard makes the whole package a sweet deal.

Death Wind was played in an Esper Control list that made top 8 at an SCG event. It's awful but people had to turn to it.
Mutilate is better and actually playable now in multicolor decks.

Blood Artist won't trigger with Seance anyway since Seance exiles, not sacrifices, the token (so it doesn't die or go to the graveyard, it's just removed from the game).

I know the token is exiled. I'm talking about Seance-ing in Blood Artist if you expect your opponent to cast a board wipe. The ability would still trigger for each dying creature.

Ah okay, sorry I didn't see that. I thought you were referring to using the Seance to make tokens to trigger the life loss/gain. Sorry, I too posted before going to bed XD
Carsf says... #2
You can't use Seance to make a creature token during your opponents turn.
