Revoke Existence or Unravel the Aether?

What's better for God removal? I'm thinking Unravel the Aether because it's instant speed.

Is this for Standard?

They each have their perks. I think Unravel the Aether has the advantage not only because it's instant speed, but also because it undoes any scrying your opponent has done.

It really depends on personal reference I mean we had Fade into Antiquity for a while and that never saw play. Why are they thinking that all of a sudden for 1 colorless less and shuffling it, not even real removal, is going to help more? Same with reprinting Revoke Existence . It's not going to make it that much better? I am holding off on both but Im not expecting either one to see better results then Fade into Antiquity . The only hope they have is with Revoke existance as it is playable in Control builds but they still have Detention Sphere so again not likely. I think these are cards that will pick up after post RTR but that is still a long ways away.

Yes, this is standard.

That's true, with Thassa, God of the Sea rampant in my meta, that is something to consider.

didn't think about taking away the scry good call Epoc. Yeah so I see Unravel the Aether as the better choice with that in mind.

RTR was a bomb, I'll be sad to see it leave. I'm thinking more selesnya tbh, and I think that they'll see some play, but only for god removal.

Moved to Standard.

@SwiftDeath: I don't know if the analysis you gave in post 2 is entirely accurate. Fade into Antiquity is a 3-drop sorcery. It has very little playability because of those two factors. Reducing the cost increases the playability.

As for Unravel the Aether , it's effectively hard removal. The likelihood of your opponent ever drawing that particular enchantment card again is pretty low.

And even then I'm pretty sure Fade into Antiquity saw some sideboard play in mono-green. 2 cards which are cheaper are likely to see some play at least
