RIP Rattleclaw Mystic

Rattleclaw Mystic is soon rotating. I've loved the card for ages and it will be sad to see it go.
I have two questions for the forum:
Do you think there will be a 'new' Rattleclaw Mystic (or has one already been spoiled) from SOI?
What is your best gameplay story involving Rattleclaw Mystic?
My best story with Rattleclaw Mystic is when I killed my control opponent over the course of five turns with him.
The control player had a hand full of counterspells, to keep getting rid of my big stuff, but eventually just died at the hands of Rattleclaw, my only creature.
I suppose you could say he drew badly, but It was hilarious none the less.

I've been cruising over that guy for so long. RIP Mantis Rider.

Nobody apart from Abzan Players mourn over Siege Rhino. And that's only because they are not on the receiving end of the rhino.

After having to let go my partner in crime, vigilante and friend Goblin Rabblemaster it is now time to farewell Mantis Rider, which is massive. I hope we meet again in 2019 when Tarkir's Awakening and sequently Vengeance of the Khans release.
The deck I played Rattleclaw in has let me down one too many times and can go fuck off.

Goodbye fetch lands and good riddance.
RIP Rattleclaw, Temur champion.

Malvion So I really wanted to play languihs to try that out becuase i have played decks with languish and no one ever expects it and it ruins them. Then I was like ok I am playing black lets play ruinous path as some removal and then sylvan advocate for early game and hissing quagmire for advocate and honestly its been really good. Keep in mind this is a post rotation deck so the languish to me was similar to chandra and there are no ugins so board wipes are limited. I honestly could not tell you whether black or red is better I never played the red one but this black one I am playing plays more like a midrange deck rather than a degenerate ramp deck that just has the ability to ramp hard and be explosive. Other wise its just killing your things hitting you with advocate quagmire and the occasional oblivion sower and hoping thats enough. I will say the most impressive card has been quagmire it blocks so well and is a great beater with advocate. I have seen some GR lists run advocate but theres no man land and thats a real shame becuase it adds a lot to the deck.

I see EmblemMan. I play the G/R version of the deck, but I don't run advocate.
My deck is practically post rotation, but I threw in my Ugin and some Rattleclaws.
The inclusion of Languish is very interesting. Do you play any mana dorks?

Deathcap Cultivator is our new best friend.
I call him Shroomie.
March 25, 2016 10 a.m.
Noooo!!!!!!
The Mystic is still alive for the next few weeks!!!!
Are there any other mana dorks in SOI? (I want one that can tap for red? Or a werewolf one?)
March 25, 2016 10:23 a.m.
i think we've got her succesor, even if it's not a creature

You know what card I just thought of that I will miss?
It's been my little buddy through thick and thin.
March 30, 2016 2:06 a.m.
T1 Mistic into T2 morphed Rattleclaw into T3 Stormbreath, without even drawing third land.
March 30, 2016 5:55 a.m.
I will NOT miss having to carry Morph tokens around with me for the buggers too lazy to organise their own.
Unless we still have Morphs in ...
March 30, 2016 10:58 a.m.
Uhhh... Hate to break it to you, but we've got deathmist and den protector still doing their thing.

PhaZ I have terrible news for you and they're named Epiphany at the Drownyard. The card is a lot worse than Dig ever has been. Or better... depends on which side you stand. And I'm on the side of those casting the spell.
March 30, 2016 11:09 a.m. Edited.
I don't see how Epiphany at the Drownyard approaches anywhere near the power level of Dig Through Time. They're two very different spells.
March 30, 2016 11:40 a.m.
They are different, but I can see the argument.
Pay 8 for X, sort your cards into two piles of 4, making sure you have a couple of decent cards in each pile, draw 4.
No Delve and not nearly as much chance of choosing which cards you keep, but you still get Instant speed draw in the late game.

TheDevicer oh that's right.
Bloody Morph tokens it still is.
Honestly people, how difficult is it to carry Tokens with you if your deck needs them?
We are mostly swimming in them by the end of a prerelease.

I carried goblins during the hordeling outburst season. Had a guy show up with no tokens. Offered him mine. He refuses and calls a judge. Asks for tokens. The judge looks at him like he just asked for a slice of cake. The judge bends down and picks up a dirty common from the floor and hands it to the guy. I couldn't stop laughing.
March 31, 2016 1:47 a.m.
You obviously infected your tokens with a dirty poison that makes people lose Magic, so he was just being cautious.

There is a rattleclaw mystic that taps for B or G in soi I think thats the best we will get. My best story is when someone played the new kiora and him in a 4 color company deck and untapped him and a land every turn to power out gas-ass threats and kill me.
