RWB Reanimator
Standard forum

Is the RWB Reanimator build viable to be competitive in standard right now? All the removal appeals to me be ause my meta is loaded with Gruul, Naya, RDW, and Selesnya aggro. I am not really much of an aggro player, and am hoping this may fair better than my Bant Midrange has. So, in general, does RWB ReNimator fair well, and what are the "key" cards to put in? Looking for creature suggestions
Yea man. Lili and Looting = check and check. What about Obzedat here?

Well sure. As if killing him the first time wasn't hard enough, they'll have to deal with him again. I mean, if you want targets for reanimation, anything legendary in these colors would be awesome to cheat out. Turn four or 5 Avacyn, Angel of Hope ? Sign me up.

I unfortunately don't have her....I am running Angel of Serenity , though. She is nuts.

Yeah, really anything that is good will be good. The hard part is slowing down aggro and such, since you won't be doing much other than hand and grave manipulation until turn 4/5. I'm certainly no expert in reanimator decks, I don't know what cheap creatures you would play in the early going, since my deck is, well, weird. Lingering Souls would probably be good for that.

I am running Lingering Souls as well as Boros Reckoner , worst case scenario he can 2 for 1 their creatures. Olivia Voldaren will be nice to drop after I get one of my Angels out so that I will have enough mana to double and triple ping my opponent's creatures to death. She is beastly.

Especially with her massive dong. Sounds like you've got a fairly good grasp on what you're doing, I don't know if I have any more cards that could make it more consistent. It all just depends on how fast you want it to go. Also, Immortal Servitude and Obzedat's Aid are other reanimators. While worse than Unburial Rites , you may need more than just 4 cards, so that you pull them more often. You'll determine if you want to run those through playtesting though

Lots of the good dumping stuff is green sadly, or you could dump your entire hand with Dangerous Wager :D

True....I played Junk Rites before, and it certainly makes everything go smoother. My w/g duals are all in my Bant deck now, though.

For the past two weeks I have used my version of a Kaalia of the Vast themed reanimator deck filled with Dragons, Angels and Demons all working pretty well together. Here it is if you would like to take a look.

The reason it has 16 cards in sideboard is because I was thinking of maybe replacing one Angel of Serenity with Deathpact Angel when I can get a hold of one. Key cards as far as creatures goes. I would suggest Sire Of Insanity . It help empties your hand to reanimate. I find if you run Planeswalkers in a deck like this they just get in the way. They usually get thrown away so you can keep a removal card like Dreadbore or an other card like Rakdos Keyrune . Let me know what you think :).

Unburial Rites . derp de derp
But seriously, in my deck Beast and the Harlot, Faithless Looting and Liliana of the Veil are awesome for filling your grave since you choose what goes.
