Sliver color combos

I have been mulling over Sliver deck ideas recently... I think that tri-color decks are the way to go, but I have had a hard time deciding which of the color combinations is the best... I thought I would throw out a list of the ones I feel are strongest along with a couple pros/cons to help me decide. I also thought that the community might be interested as well, and I would be interested in what others think about it, so I figured I'd make it a thread.
Esper (W/U/B):
Pros: Access to control (counters and kill spells); the potential of flying, life-linking, double-striking slivers is pretty scary
Cons: Slivers will stay small unless you can drop a Door of Destinies ; slow (however that can be expected from a control deck)
Bant (W/U/G):
Pros: Still have some control (counters, bounce); pumping flying and/or double-striking and/or vigilant slivers seems good
Cons: Without black there is less removal; lIkely to be more sliver-heavy a.k.a. vulnerable to board-wipes
Junk (W/B/G):
Pros: Access to good kill spells; pumping life-linking slivers seems like a nice way to stay alive
Cons: again likely to be vulnerable to board wipes; losing blue means losing evasion (flying) for slivers
B/U/G:
Pros: Great control options again with counters and kill spells; now getting flying, life-linking slivers that are also big is no longer a dream
Cons: I am finding it hard to think of the best way to balance the slivers/control with this color combo - green begs to have a lot of creatures and overrun the opponent, while the blue/black-ness of it might conflict with this.
Naya (W/R/G)
Pros: Seems the fastest and most threatening creature-wise; access to burn if needed; there are the most slivers in these colors, so different styles of Naya Slivers could be built if one wanted
Cons: Naya Slivers is going to over-extend itself - it wants to get tons of slivers on the board and take over. This makes it quite vulnerable to the control matchup - perhaps more than the other color combos.
Overall, I'm excited to try out some of the color combos and see if any one of them in particular seems the best or the most fun to play with. I'm expect any of these to be a tier-1 deck and take 1st place at a tourney or anything, but I do think they will fun to take to FNM and try to grab a couple of wins and maybe pester some friends in a more casual setting
That's certainly true - what do you think would be good fo two colors? Green/red or green/white comes to mind right away. Also with 2-colors the monetary cost of the deck would be reduced, as less dual lands would be needed

Schuesseled : blue and black are really weak atm in terms of slivers. so I would only use them as a complementary colors,...

Naya with Door of Destinies to repump slivers after a board wipe.

Yeah feyn-do-alduin, naya with a splash of blue and black. i.e. All five colours.
There's only one blue and one black sliver, so that second requirement is a no brainer.

there are a good bit of rush decks that can do fine getting under control decks. maybe run naya and have boros charms. and there goes that turn 4 board wipe

lol. I was just so iffy about doing it because I won't have access to Bonescythe Sliver , but RUG has Striking and Galerider for the turn one drop. And going turn one Glarider, turn two, Predatory, turn three Blur will be really nice.

Ringleader while Bonescythe Sliver is awesome but i think that everyone is going to treat it as a removal magnet. so playing a bunch of seemingly smaller threats may be a better idea until your friends decide what to hate on next.

I'm rocking naya right now Naya Sliver Aggro. It's been working pretty well in casual settings so far, haven't had a chance to take is for a spin at FNM yet. Boros Charm is my answer to Supreme Verdict .

I would go for Bant if I made slivers. You can get flying +3+3 slivers with vigilance who can also provide mana ramp all while casting controlling spells and bouncing creatures. Bant for the win!

- Lifelink = Double Life Swings
- Double Strike = Double Life Swings
- +2/+0 = Practically Double Life Swings
First strike, hellrider effect, and haste are just the icing on the cake.
I rest my case.

I wonder what to run for counter kill aside from Simic Charm . and maybe Gruul Charm s to help get that last lethal hit in there.

I'm finding Bant quite good as you said there's less removal but there is still O.ring and you can also add Progenitor Mimic for epic times and Sphinx's Revelation with a bit of ramp in the deck. As well as the Slivers themselves having a possibility of flying, double strike, vigilance, pumping and ramping. Bant just seems awesome for slivers atm.

I think this page is glitched. It won't allow additional comments to be viewed.

Do naya with a splash of all colors and accept that control will win.

what about bi-color slivers?certain color pairs can be dangerous on their own, and have less consistency issues that tri-color decks will have post rotation.
