Slow Vampires Vs Fast Vampires

Maybe I am wrong ( which I am most of the time lol.) but I just feel that the power of vamps is not within this slow game that a lot of people are doing. At least from what I have read from Sam Black on his SCG "My Kind Of Vampires" they're playing small ball? to quote Sam "if you fill your deck with random small creatures, you'll lose any game where you put in the time to invest. What we're building needs to be an attrition deck." Sure I can get behind a attrition deck like a U/B Zombies deck. But if you look at the vamps the right ones that is they seem to want to be a beat down deck.

So I am misreading the cards here like Asylum Visitor; Which to me is just meh not worth the time of day unless you can get both players hellbent.

Where I see Incorrigible Youths and Twins of Maurer Estate as the keys to a fast beat down win by turn 5. So am I just misjudging the cards and the way Vampires want to go?

You're not entirely wrong. Aggro vamps is certainly not going to be well positioned right now. At least not with the list everyone is running currently but the real way to get that extra attrition the deck needs is to add blue for jace. from there, you probably play some number of youths kalitas and elusive tormentor.
