So has the meta changed?

I went in to play FNM at my local shop and everyone is now playing control. Out of 14 people two of them were playing aggro. Pretty much everyone else is playing control. Thoughts?

its just the number of control. r/u/w control along with bant control and esper control. There were 14 of us at FNM. 10 people were running control. Its really dumb.

then no the meta didn't change much as control is usually a very popular deck type and is usually highly played in events.

It makes my entire aggro deck that i spent a lot of time and money to put together useless.

Alternatively, now you know to play control next time.

So now that you know what you are up against tailor your deck to beat those down.

If i were you, i'd look toward a Midrange deck. Maybe Naya for better boardwipe protection or Bant for a better control over Sphinx's Revelation .
A zombie deck could also make it difficult for them to boardwipe you. Anyway, try to stay away from pure aggro. Control decks are the bane of aggro decks.

Reanimator is also one of the big decks currently and from what i saw of your deck, you could build a humaninator deck.

how would i make it a humaninator ? Also i dont have a ton of money to throw into magic atm.

Just to put my two cents in...I;m not too savvy with Humanimator builds, but I played Jund Midrange against many control decks and ended up the victor. The noylt hing that stopped me, ironically for this thread, was Jund aggro. I am currently working on tweaking a Boros midrange, which doesn't seem to work too well just yet, but it's getting there. I am running 2x Aurelia's Fury and 2 more sideboard to stop control decks from playing spells. It also opens the board for that big double swing from Aurelia, the Warleader . But I also have Skullcrack to counteract life gain from things like Thragtusk and Sphinx's Revelation . So depending on what kind of aggro you run, or any build really, you can usually work something in there to make control's day a little worse.
I play a r/w/u deck, too, but unlike what you are talking about, it isn't too controlly...more aggressive. Is that maybe what you have been facing, too?

When up against control you have two choices as aggro, try to kill them quickly and hope they stumble or don't over commit to the board and waltz into the board wipe, Craig Wescoe puts up quite a few white aggro decks that are usually built to give control headaches, here's a link to his articles http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/article_search_result.asp?author=Craig%20Wescoe.

You're siding in Skullcrack against control players, I hope?
I agree that this deck could be changed into Naya Blitz or Naya Midrange. The midrange will be more expensive (you'll need Thragtusk and Restoration Angel ). The thing is, with Boros Charm and Skullcrack , you should be plowing through Sphinx's Revelation and Supreme Verdict .

Actually, control is generally unpopular now thanks to the prevalence of Junk Reanimator, which gives control fits.

the local meta is defined by the decks you see at local events so if that has changed then your local meta has but as a general meta it seems to have stayed the same for the last few weeks. the biggest change is there is a new variation of the aristocrats going around recently but other then esper and bant control there isn't a large popularity of other control based decks what kind of control decks are you seeing that are unlike the usual ones?
