Looking for some good black standard removal. I'm already getting some Killing Wave s, but looking for suggestions for some other good cards.

A morbid Tragic Slip usually does the trick on the cheap, but it's about timing with that one. Murder , Victim of Night or Ultimate Price as a little less versatile versions of Murder . Also Duress .
If you're looking for non-creature removal in black, you might not have as much luck.

You can also use some enchantments as removal, like Dead Weight , Crippling Blight , and Stab Wound , but those are only for low-toughness creatures.

Appetite for Brains get high cost creatures from your opponents hand.

I'm a fan of Tribute to Hunger at the moment, since it can interrupt soulbonds, it's instant, and there are a number of decks that want to hit you with a single creature (like Geist of Saint Traft ). Like most black removal, it's very meta-dependent.

Your best bet is Murder . Cards like Dreadbore , Sever the Bloodline , Ultimate Price , and Tribute to Hunger are very good but are very meta dependent like the post above states. It would also be a good idea to post your deck so people know what kinds of removal would best suit your deck.

Tragic Slip can be awesome removal... especially when combined with other removal.
Use Killing Wave ... if they spend life to keep a creature alive, you know to hit it with Tragic Slip - Or, you can use Bone Splinters if you have "sac'able" creatures, to ensure 'morbid' triggers... 2 creatures of nearly any size for 2 Black mana and one un-needed creature. (not great in terms of card advantage, but very effective removal)
As TorrentFreak mentioned, Appetite for Brains is good as well... not technically 'removal', so it won't trigger 'dying', or 'leaves the battlefield' effects... but I'd say it may be Blacks best option for things like Thragtusk or Huntmaster of the Fells Flip , or other cards like them.
graft is very accurate in saying that removal is very meta-dependant. Take a look at my Golgari Zombie deck (LOL trolling). It has a lot of Sideboard removal, and the description explains most of it.

I don't understand why people give Murder a hard time. I've heard people say that the extra mana doesn't make it worth it, but in all honesty it does. Doom Blade and Go for the Throat are situational, and mostly SB cards. However, with Murder I can kill any creature without Indestructible (which are few in standard) and hexproof (also few).

Murder is definitely solid removal. Some people do see the 1 extra mana as important in their meta due to the current speed of some decks... I'm not entirely sure they are right.
There is only one time I've had a Murder in hand and wished I had something else (excluding when the opponent had no creatures). It was when I had a tri-color deck... the opponent had creatures coming out, and I couldn't draw the 2nd black mana required.
With the inclusion of the various dual-lands, that has become quite rare... after Gatecrash, it will be almost non-existent.

I know, yet people still complain "Doom Blade is way better" and "Murder is horrible"
Even without dual lands and shocklands I still rarely have a dead Murder sitting in my hand

I've got enough Murder to make a playset. I like Bone Splinters , but I'd want some kind of token gen to really make
