I'm new to Magic, but have experience in other competitive games. In every game there's a meta of what's strong and weak at the moment. How are b/w and g/w/r decks in the current meta?

Basically, what is the current meta for Magic?

Monoblue devotion, monoblack devotion, and esper control are all the top decks. Azorius control, white weenie, monored devotion, gruul monsters/devotion, and B/W aggro are all tier 2. G/W/R isn't really a thing.

My G/W/R is basically Gruul devotion :P So it looks like both my finished decks are tier two. Not bad for just starting I guess. Thanks!

It's arguable if esper is tier 1 or 1.5 and U/W (azorius) is tier 1 or 1.5 but it's not 2. b/w aggro winning a gp last month means it's above tier 2, at least 1.5, but more towards 1, b/w being more towards what the meta is going to move towards soon, it's interesting to note that U/W was it's matchup in the finals and all the other tier 1 decks listed above where in the tournament.
