Stymied Hopes will this see play? I am debating about putting it in a grixis deck, but not sure if it is even worth a slot.
Judge's Familiar might be a better option, but i am not sure if Stymied Hopes is good enough to run in constructed?
It's also worth mentioning that Syncopate does exile the spell it counters, which is useful in some situations, though less so now what Snapcaster and most flashback cards are rotating.

Still, Scavenging Ooze and Deathrite Shaman lay the beating down fast if you don't get to exiling. Stymied Hopes ultimately will not see any constructed play if you ask me. Dissolve does look a bit nice though.

I don't think so.
Any time that Stymied Hopes would work you could have just Syncopate for 1. Syncopate gets increasingly awkward as the game goes longer, but at least there's still the option of dumping a lot of mana into it. And countering the spell is ultimately the more important aspect, Scry 1 is nice to get incidentally, but it's not worth having a dead card.
Between Syncopate , Dissolve , Essence Scatter , Negate , Dispel and the fancy counters like Counterflux , Render Silent and Gainsay . There just isn't much reason to run Stymied Hopes .
