The Mighty Devotion to Green

So with Khans of Tarkir it's obvious that many of the devotion decks will go out. I've loved green since I started playing MTG and I found that a mono green deck honestly has the best chance at surviving when Tarkir comes out, although I have only been into Magic for a short time so I'm still a bit inexperienced. With that being said, what are y'alls thoughts specifically on mono green and what could possibly be good/bad for it?

Between See the Unwritten , Meandering Towershell, Heir of the Wilds , Temur Charger , and Hooded Hydra , along with stuff that works with morph in mono green (I'm thinkin' Trail of Mystery here), and stuff that works with Hydras for counters like Hardened Scales (I still need to check if you cast something for 6 +1 counters on a Hydra, does it actually become a 12/12 Hydra or a 7/7 Hydra), you've got a pretty good toolbox to keep mono-green alive.

I've also been looking at Meandering Towershell but I'm a little confused on how it's mechanic works... so since it's attacking every turn then doesn't it just get exiled before it deals combat damage?

@OPxMagikarp: Not exactly. When you tap to attack, it's trigger happens. So it get's exiled. But it reads 'return it to the battlefield tapped and attacking'. When it returns to the battlefield, it is already attacking, so the trigger doesn't happen.

I think that the biggest loss to MGD is Garruk, Caller of Beasts . With big garruk, you could empty your hand onto the field and then use him as an engine to make playing so many mana dorks worth while. He was the way that you were able to get all the threats out of the deck without running too many of them. Without him...it's going to be rough.

Well I believe with Genesis Hydra and now See the Unwritten it will still be manageable. It won't be as easy but with both of those you basically get two large creatures for the price of one. If you play it right then you'll be able to look through more cards on top of your library than you would be able to do with Garruk
