With all this manifest stuff going around, and not to mention Ghostfire Blade, will standard morph be a thing???

I certainly hope so. A morph/manifest deck has some real potential, and I've already had pretty good success at FNM with my Khans morph deck, Mighty Morphin Temur Rangers. It will only get more powerful with the addition of the manifest mechanic.

I've seen an interesting simic morph deck around here, using cards like Ranger's Guile and Mortal's Resolve for protection from bombs and removal, and then used Sagu Mauler, Icefeather Aven, etc, etc, etc. for control/tempo. I'm not sure how I feel about manifest, losing what spells protects your morphs with no way to get them back as of now... Ehh you need a tight control knowing what comes up, which with cards like Lens of Clarity, the scrying temples, Taigam's Scheming it's do-able but I am not a skilled enough player to attempt that.

Morph and Manifest play very well together. Manifested Morph cards can be turned up for either their morph or mana cost. Think you're safe from Kheru Spellsnatcher because I've only got 4 mana up? too bad, I manifested it. Manifest works spectacularly with Trail of Mystery, draining your deck of all your basic land before you can blink. I've played games with my morph deck where I ended up discarding extra lands from my hand, something I think might be more common with Manifest in the mix. As for Lens of Clarity, I think it might end up in the sideboard. I think it would only be needed in games where pulling a specific card to manifest counts, vs having more bodies. I run counters in my deck instead of Ranger's Guile, and often, I play an aggressive, exhaustive strategy of buring out their counters. Sacrifice a Rattleclaw Mystic so I can play a Sagu Mauler next turn that's not killed immedately, or playing two morphs at the same time and forcing them to chose which to kill.

Agreed with all of the above. To @FatherLiir , you would definitely be paying close attention to your deck. Maybe another peer card will come up in FRF so we can control what we are drawing and manifesting.
