once Theros cycles in and everything else cycles out we are obviously losing a lot of the old standbys like Thragtusk , Restoration Angel , and Thundermaw Hellkite .
so im curious what creatures people think will be competitive in standard and take their place as the new go to swift big creatures.
Nylea, God of the Hunt looks promising as does Stormbreath Dragon . Also Heliod's Emissary has potential as a good support card.
Thoughts?

fair enough.
and yeah naya and gruul are going to change significantly which is why i am looking to see what people think will be competitive. they are my favorite builds color wise generally, and id like to stick to them when the format changes.
Xenagos, The Reveler
is going to see ALOT of play.

I'm liking selesnya for midrange. Red has some good stuff don't get me wrong but the power behind Naya was the G/W and the R was just a bonus because the landbase could afford it.

bant may work as a control/midrange deck, using stuff like Prophet of Kruphix , Advent of the Wurm and Fleecemane Lion , but again, it's 3-colour, so it won't be as prominent in the current meta.

Jund midrange could still be a thing. I think as long as you pack a little more removal than the last Jund, you should be fine. The old Jund lost a lot of heavy hitters, but gained a good enough amount to suffice. I am going to give it a try myself. If it goes bad, then BG midrange it is.

I am running Junk Midrange for the beginning of the Theros block. G/W is VERY promising right now, and the black gives me access to lots of excellent removal. If you run Naya, I would say just swap out the removal and Obzedat for burn and the new dragon.

how could i forget Advent of the Wurm ?
and G/W/B so far seems to be possibly the strongest color combo right now.

Naya is going to have a harder time as a tempo/midrange build without Farseek and the check lands. Standard tricolor slows down significantly at rotation. I expect the biggest midrange decks to be RG.
