Thoughts on Chronicler of Heros version of G/W Aggro

Was catching up on some of SCG's articles and noticed an article that focused on a G/W aggro deck that has been doing well on MTGO that uses Chronicler of Heroes and Gyre Sage . I sleeved it up (with some slight changes due to preference and card availability) and am planning to take it to FNM tonight to give it a test run. My deck can be found here: Chronicler G/W Aggro.
I am excited to play this since I am a strictly G/W player and have been getting pretty bored of the traditional G/W aggro builds.
I also can seem to decide if running Fleecemane Lion would be better than the Advent of the Wurm in this deck build.

G/W decks are strong right now because the power of each individual card is well above average. They don't rely on synergies to work; they work all by themselves.
Chronicler + Sage is a fun interaction that can generate advantage, but is more disrupt-able and lacks the raw power of something like Advent of the Wurm or Loxodon Smiter . Without playtesting, I would have to assume that the decks running the stronger cards will come out ahead, on average, of the decks running this interaction.
Side note: Magic becomes boring relatively quickly if you never change what you're doing. Don't feel stuck with G/W just because you enjoy it. Try branching out. There are countless decks to be made, and you don't want to shut any doors just because they're not G and/or W.

I don't play other deck colors because they are less enjoyable for me and because it saves me a TON of money by sticking with one deck type and altering it with each set release instead of buying a whole new mana base and cards to try different colors. This allows me to be able to afford stronger cards in the G/W meta like Voice of Resurgence
since I only purchase a few cards each set.
Basically, I think G/W (and sometime G/W/x) is the more enjoyable deck type for my play style, so why change that. It's just that, sometimes, I have to change up the way that G/W deck plays to give me something new to play with.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the Chronicler of Heroes route. As NobodyPicksBulbasaur mentioned GW's draw is that each card is generally individually powerful, though sadly this has been supplanted somewhat by the devotion decks. Chronicler of Heroes forces you into a less aggressive shell to try and get its synergy working. You become choked in the 4 drops, run less 1 drops and are forced into less than ideal cards like Gyre Sage .
I prefer the more recent approach of running largely the same GW shell, but adding roughly 6 mono-blue hate cards to the MB. I would take a look at Andrew Shrout's list from the most recent SCG Open. It took second.

I know Andrew's deck well and have all 75 cards needed to play it, but, like I said, I am looking for something a little different to change things up a bit. Mono-devotion decks are played in my LGS meta, but not nearly as much as a pro tourny, so having those pro-blue cards in my mainboard isn't as necessary.

I just ran a tweaked version of Shrout's deck last night at fnm and i won 5-0. I cut back on the blue hate MB cuz barely anyone (and noone last night) in my meta plays mono blue. I ran 1 Mistcutter Hydra and 2 Polukranos in main. Took out the 2 main Skylasher and ran Scavenging Ooze 's instead. My sideboard was pretty much the same.

Nice... I went 3-1 with the Chronicler of Heroes build last night. My one loss was due to only being able to draw one land in both games after mulling to 5 in both games. Very bad luck during that round. The other rounds went 2-0 in my favor.
