Thoughts on Psychic Intrusion

I've been thinking of sideboard cards against control decks, and I've been wanting to test Psychic Intrusion out.
any of you tested this out against Control decks?
it's soooooo good in limited. if it was one less it would be playable, but as standard sits five drops need a little more power than just stealing something. I have pulled a playset, and while i don't think they are ever going to be a power spike card, I'm going to hold onto them; they may become useful in modern down the road.

I would normally think that Epochalyptik, but if after sideboard you have Thoughtseize AND Psychic Intrusion you could very well set it up to steal their win con straight from their hand. If nothing else, you can take the one you made them discard previouslly, milled, or destroyed. At worst you take away a card and it becomes a higher mana Thoughtseize without the life loss. At best you steal a win con and force them to use a removal spell to deal with it effectively 2 for 1'ing them. It just sounded too good to disregard it right away.
It is bad against aggressive decks and probably Gruul/Jund monsters, but against U/W or Esper the worse you're going to steal is a Supreme Verdict and you know that they at least won't use it on you. The best you could get is an AEtherling or Elspeth, Sun's Champion . Against Orzhov Control you could get their Blood Baron of Vizkopa before they cast it. which would be backbreaking to them.
I thought about running in a BUG midrange deck that uses ramp so that I could cast it faster and by this point they HOPEFULLY have countered another creature that I had already played thus spending the one they were counting on. This opens it up for this to resolve and steal the game right from under them

It was a proactive strategy thought instead of putting in Negate s

Remember that you can look at their hand then pluck something from their graveyard if you don't like the look of anything.

Right! And even if they respond to you casting Psychic Intrusion , you can pick the card that they just cast as it will be in the graveyard after it resolves. getting a Sphinx's Revelation would be HUGE

I know nothing about Standard, but Psychic Intrusion seems too expensive to be useful.
