What is the best use for Triad of Fates ? It seems like it has potential that hasn't been realized. Is it best used for blinking one of Esper control's creatures before a Supreme Verdict ? Is it spot removal? Is it a draw engine? Or is it all three?I think it could be good but I'm not sure what for. Any ideas?

I mean, if you want to play a 3/3 for 4 with an option to blink one of your cards once, go for it, but i'm going to stick to playing Master of Waves , Desecration Demon , and Reaper of the Wilds .

Triad of Fates can't save a creature from a board wipe. The creature is exiled and immediately returned. It will still be there when the wipe resolves.

I guess that's true, though you could speed it up with untapping shenanigans.

An etb human edh general? I personally really like the art

Yea was hoping Triad of Fates would end up being good, but there is little to no use for it. The art is cool, the idea is there, but its just not good enough. Restoration Angel makes him useless in anything other than standard, and really standard even has better options for etb antics. All its got going for it is an edh general, but even then, there is probably a better option.

It would be better if they added to it, "When Triad of Fates enters the battlefield, put a fate counter on every creature." That way it would only take 1 turn sitting there, and it could make a more immediate impact, especially if you were able to give it haste. Then the first ability would be to give a counter to one specific creature that entered after it did, and the second ability gives every creature a counter again.

The best use of Triad of Fates is to put extra fate counters on things before you play/pop Oblivion Stone .

That would be broken. It would be better if it said place some number of fate counters - like 1 or 2.

ChiefBell Yea, you're probably right. Just anything to make it able to do something sooner.

It has good synergy with things like Keepsake Gorgon in limited play, keep bouncing and monstrousing the gorgon to wipe your opponents board

I have 2 Triad of Fates that I have toyed around with one as a utility card in an esper EDH deck but it's been touchy. Is a good budget utility card for card draw and getting of problem permanents. But for competetive of any kind I don't see it gaining any ground. Too slow for truly competetive play.

It has to sit on the board for two turns before it can do anything, it's a terrible card.
