Green / White is still spitting out nasty combinations for standard. Take a look at this little combo that'll give you a nice start to any game.
- Turn 1: forest, Hardened Scales
- Turn 2: plains, Lagonna-Band Trailblazer , second Hardened Scales
- Turn 3: forest, Ordeal of Nylea , which gives it +3/+3 in counters (3/7). Then Nature's Panoply , which gives another +6/+6 in counters (9/13). Attack, get another +3/+3 in counters (12/16), sac Ordeal of Nylea , and put 2 lands into play.
If all goes well you'll be left with a 12/16 creature, did 12 points of damage, and ramped up to 5 lands in play. Not too shabby for starting out with a little 0/4. Heroic is an awesome ability.

Favored Hoplite might work better from the "Prevent All Damage" angle. I know a 7/9 on turn 3 isn't as sexy, but you'd be surprised how much of a difference that prevented damage goes to ensuring your guy lives. Likewise, Feat of Resistance pro (color) might work better than Nature's Panoply. Solidarity of Heroes just straight up doubles the number, and you'd still get double... plus one.
The synergy in Heroic and Hardened Scales is palpable, though. No doubt.

or...
- turn 3: Nature's Panoply (3/7), then Solidarity of Heroes , which would trigger heroic for another 3 counters, (6/10) then double that amount + another 2, which would be 14 more counters (20/24). Swing, 20 points of damage

I think Hardened Scales is super win more in Heroic decks. In order for it to be useful, you have to land it early. To get that consistency, you need a playset. Seeing it turn 5 sucks balls. Heroic needs a delicate balance of creatures and heroic enablers. Once you start shoving enchantments in, you lose all your protection cards.
I have a friend who's brewed a pretty decent Heroic for standard. He basically thought about it for half and hour and gave up. You just get more consistent results by running diverse creatures and ways to protect them.

@TheNinjaJesus, not too shabby, but to appease a turn 3 win for the TheRedDude i modified it a bit

Nature's Panoply sets off Trail-Blazer's herioc (adding 3 +1/+1 counters) and then the effect of Panoply resolves adding another 3 +1/+1 counters, which makes it a total of +6/+6.

Inevitably, though, the thing you'll hear your opponent say to a turn 3 20/24 is "In Response..." because that mofo will catch so much removal to the face he'd have a polished skull instead of cheeks. It's why I suggest Feat of Resistance instead, cuz if you swing with a 7/11 or a 6/10, they WILL burn it, so you just Feat of Resistance and name whatever color. It's better to Feat than Solidarity, in my opinion.

unless it has trample or evasion or the ability to fake one out, i am

He's currently running it like so: The Heroic Jeskai.
The focus is more on using cards that grant protection and indestructability to grant evasion and dodge removal. It's slower, but has better consistency.

doesn't Ordeal of Nylea pop as soon as it hits a creature with 3 or more counters already on it? therefore not giving any itself?

It's Standard. Nothing really bad happens turn 1.

I've been using Hardened Scales in my deck:Scaled Heros
You've got to really commit to it for it to be effective, but when you are dropping 2 counters a turn on a couple Chasm Skulker or using 1 drop Triton Tactics to buff two Fabled Hero 2 counters each, it starts to really pay off. Many people are surprised when two Feat of Resistance create an unblockable 10/10 double-strike out of last turn's Fabled Hero .
I'm still tinkering with it (especially to handle sultai control - what's beating it at fnm) but it's going to use 3-4 hardened scales in the final version.
