if you only had room for one of these cards in a control deck, which would use and why? (either grixis or esper splashing red )

Turn / Burn is nice for getting over regenerate/indestructible abilities but I like Far / Away more for a control deck. Two creatures out? Bounce the weaker and sacrifice the stronger.

Another note, Falkenrath Aristocrat can resist the Turn / Burn whereas if there are only 2 creatures on their side of the board, it cannot resist Far / Away .

Just my 2 cents though.

If they only have 2 creatures and Falkenrath Aristocrat doesn't have any counters on it yet it cannot resist Turn / Burn because if the other creature is human and they sac it in response the Turn / Burn it gets one +1/+1 counter and then gets Turned into a 0/1 with no abilities which with the counter makes it a 1/2 which will die from Burn. So the only time where Falkenrath Aristocrat can live through Turn / Burn is if it has, or can get, at least two +1/+1 counters on it.

If you sac to Aristocrat to make it indestructible before Turn / Burn resolves, the Wierd will still be indestructible.

@Cirdan13 What meecht said. You can read the discussion about it here (http://tappedout.net/mtg-forum/deck-help/turn-burn-vs-indestructible-ruling/).

Oh ok, I thought that it would lose the indestructible when the Turn took effect. My bad
