understanding ral zarrek

i'm having trouble wrapping my head around the pllaneswalker Ral Zarek i've been trying to make him work in an izzet sorceries and instants deck but he seems not to really shine so i was wondering where would ral really fit in i want him in a deck so bad because he does some pretty fun things. so open forum on ral ?
Ral Zarek I think is quite underrated. He's amazing. I run him in my take on Izzet Blitz (Niv for the Win). He'll tap down your blockers or lands and untap my stuff. He'll also trigger Inspired as Arorsthrar pointed out. Lightning Bolt always good. His Ult, while good I've only had go off a couple times (and even then I get 3-5 extra turns from it LOL) One of the biggest things Ral does is draw in aggression or hate so if I need to bide some time I toss out Ral to take the heat off of me. I'm thinking of building a Grixis Inspired Control soon that uses him and Pain Seer and more to be honest.

I used him with 4xLobber Crew , had some success with that, but mostly it was to draw away attention from my life points. Hitting his ult is almost a guaranteed win.

He's pretty good for inspired if that inspires you to do anything.
