viable win cons for Grixis

Lately, I've been relying on using Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver , AEtherling , Desecration Demon , or Jace, Memory Adept as my primary win cons for Grixis.
What are your thoughts on Stormbreath Dragon ?]
... or are there OTHER win cons that people are currently using?

@meecht:
I used to also, however it SUCKS vs Esper & U/W as they will usually draw more cards than we do and us having to drop a card to "counter" an instant speed removal spell doesn't seem too great when we're trying NOT to fall too far behind. Plus, making us tap him down to do so also is the same thing as making us tap down a Desecration Demon and I'd rather have him as he closes out the game faster

@Sagi007:
After I saw him spoiled I too was trying to jump on the bandwagon. Then Theros' spoilers were trickling in and I saw Thassa, God of the Sea and thought "HERE'S the missing piece to Master of Cruelties !" and thinking I could just use burn but it just never seemed to work out right. Against Selesnya or decks that gained a lot of life but had little or no removal it was great but against super fast aggro decks like RDW blitz or control decks like Esper it flopped.
Not to mention he can't "win the game on his own" as he will never be able to deal that last point of damage so he has to have something else assist him

Grixis is usually a control build. You should worry about keeping the game manageable instead of finishing it quickly.
Prognostic Sphinx is harder to deal with than Desecration Demon because it requires a board wipe as long as you have cards in hand. It also avoids the -3 ability of Elspeth, Sun's Champion , unlike Demon.

I agree with the control build opinion, but I have learned through trial and error that the more turns I give my opponent to find an answer to more chances I have of losing.
Sphinx can only hit for 3 which is a 7 turn clock (if life is at 20) whereas the dragon finishes the deal two turns earlier at 5 (plus he has the option of going monstrous to close it out even faster).
Most of the time I will have a counterspell or will have used hand disruption to take out their "answer" to whatever win con I am going with for the win, and by then I want to finish things off before they have a chance to draw a Sphinx's Revelation
to throw a wrench into my plans.
- Stormbreath Dragon has pro white so that limits them in what answers they can use against it, and can block a Blood Baron of Vizkopa if need be

I use Haunted Plate Mail in my Grixis control shell, but considering I'm not running creatures it's probably lackluster compared to other options.

I think I've seen your build and I like the way that you took yours. I tested using Haunted Plate Mail with my build but I have other creatures like AEtherling and Omenspeaker that don't synergize well with the artifact

Anyone use Stormbreath Dragon in Grixis OR U/W/R control decks as a finisher? What have been your results?

I've seen Prognostic Sphinx used in a few Grixis decks as a win-con.
