Voyage's End viable in jeskai tempo?

I recently started play testing with Voyage's End in the deck and it seems to work well with keeping tempo, triggering prowess, and messing up the opponents tempo. Any input on if this is a good idea or not?
I would leave it as sideboard for heroic or monogreen kind of deck, you have better 2 cmc cards to play in the main deck.

Retraction Helix is a much better option.
Benefits...
1) Hit's PW's Artifacts, Enchantments.
2) 1CMC.
3) Can save a Goblin Token from having to attack into a defended opponent.
Downfalls...
1) Required you have a Creature on the Battlefield.
2) Doesn't Scry... but if Temples and Magma Jet aren't enough Scry, you'll never have enough.

@Rayenous: thanks for the suggestion, but Retraction Helix is just not where I want to be at. Voyage's End doesn't tie up a creature and stop it from attacking. I run Monastery Swiftspear and Seeker of the Way in the deck so anything that triggers prowess is great. it's true it won't hit PW's, artifacts, or enchantments, but I'm worried about bringing life down to 0 as quick as possible so i need to move any creatures out of the way.

It sounds more like you are playing Jeskai Aggro than Jeskai Tempo...

Yeah, it is slightly more aggro. I just feel that it is better than Magma Jet in that it can deal with any creature for a turn instead of the just low toughness creatures. The scry 1 is also nice helping set up the next draw. But I may be way off with that feeling :)

The scry is nice... but that's the reason for using Magma Jet
over Voyage's End
.
Scry 2 is more than twice as good as Scry 1.
If you have no creature targets for Magma Jet
, it can still be read as, "Scry 2. Then deal 2 damage to your opponent."
Since you are also going for a more Aggro approach to the deck, Magma Jet still seems more relevant than, "Scry 1, Then slow a creature down by a turn or 2."
Slowing a creature = Tempo
Dealing damage = Aggro
Scry 2 > Scry 1
The value could be dependant on the deck you are against... but I would almost always choose the Magma Jet
.

I feel like losing the versatility and removal of the 2-drop burn would hurt you hard and the last thing I want to give Abzan is the ability to trigger Raid on Wingmate Roc or the drain on Siege Rhino a second time. shudders
