Walker in Control

Can anyone else see Walking Ballista being used in UB control? It's certainly too expensive to use early for removal in a lot of match ups, but it helps turn on Fatal Push, can take care of multiple creatures in the Mardu deck, and for the low low cost of 80 mana, can win you the game late as a mana sink. I just feel like there might be something to it?

I could see it in an artifact based or improvise control deck, but without synergy Walking Ballista is an underpowered card. It's no Hangarback Walker.

I use it in sultai control but thats because i have a delirium sub theme and only a 2 of. It's a great card anywhere to be honest obviously against mardus 1 toughness creatures, its also a great cantrip when u want to catch a counter spell out their hand, the only bad matchup it has is against gb counters

I dont see you pulling it for anything in a U/B control. cause you want to be able to hold back some for that deck. but ballista is an all in card. go hard or go home. paying the four to pump is something you want to do to get that one little damage on top. so I really dont see that being a stronger play. when you could use something that is more effective for control.
