Well, if its Emrakul...

Standard forum

The evidence looks like the "ancient horror" is just Emrakul, wow big suprise... Anyways, I looked at this and thought about standard. So, WotC took the Jeskai/Boros Harbinger Control decks that did well in modern, and slapped that into Standard. What do you all think? If we do get a new Emrakul, what would WotC need to do to balance out standard again?

Do we have any confirmation of this anywhere?

  1. The card of the day on the WOTC website is OG Emrakul.
  2. There are promos shipped to LGSs that are branded with Emrakul on them.
  3. They will announce it in video on their website 3 hours from now.

Not really, this is speculation about standard. The evidence that WotC is giving us points to Emrakrul. I mean, look at today's Card of the Day, it hints that you will be scared of her. Why? I hardly think that it is because you have to drop 27 bucks to get one.

Also other evidence has shown such as a leak of a shipping order. It listed a buy a box promo as being called "Advanced-Emrakul". You can find this on reddit or the internet, I just don't have the link. I really do hope it is not Emrakul, its just that the evidence points to Spaghetti right now...

I'm sure that a new Emrakul will be balanced in the same way as the other 2 current standard-legal Eldrazi titans; by having a large amount of its power be an on-cast triggered ability. It might be powerful enough to play, but there's no reason to think a Nahiri/neo-Emrakul interaction would be unbalanced in Standard.

So, now that we've seen the card, what are your thoughts on it? Idk how to feel about the card.
