What are the most FUN competitive decks currently?

I want to win. I want to get top 8 consistently, and also have a chance at first place. My current deck is this: Silence in the Library. This isn't supposed to be a deck help, but if you think it should be in that category Epochalyptik, then put it there. This is, what standard deck is the best and most fun, basically.
So guys, what kind of deck is the most fun? I want to go all out, possibly netdeck, and get a perfect fun deck that can consistently place top 8 and has a good matchup with most matchups. I like the idea of Orzhov with Blood Baron of Vizkopa , I like to gain life, and I don't want to play GR Monsters or Mono Black Devotion. Something janky that's viable is my preference mostly.
Well that's partially what I mean, my current deck is fun and got 5th place at game day and 1st at an fnm, but I want to expand. When it comes to janky that I liked, I've thought about Maze's end turbo fog bant, pain seer-kiora's follower (that hasnt gone far, help with that would be cool), also i think jund with Underworld Cerberus and Grisly Salvage and a bunch of self mill and stuff like Lotleth Troll and possibly Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord

When I got back into Magic and was looking at what decks I wanted to try to build, I loved the sound of Esper control, but decided against it due to the prices needed up front to be competitive. Then, I played a coworker at FNM who played an Esper control deck and used Notion Thief +Whispering Madness on me twice in our three games, and it was awesome. Just wipe, flash your guy in, then draw many cards. I've been told its not the most competitive combo, but I thought it was fun even as it was screwing me over. So it must have been great from the other side. And he did beat me 2-1 in that matchup. And in the game I won, that combo probably would have put him out of reach for me if he could have dug up a Sphinx's Revelation a turn earlier.

Well I do like Control and have all the UW stuff for it. But I was looking for more midrange, since I've played almost only control ever since april last year when i pulled Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker

How about something like this? It's basically the deck you were talking about, but you have have to tweak it to add red.

Hey thanks, that's really helpful! I was planning to use Crypt Incursion , at least in the sideboard, because when they decide to kill my Underworld Cerberus , I can exile all their creatures in response so only I get the bonus. Dang that's gonna be fun. I guess I'm doing jund now. Any suggestions for red cards that could benefit a midrange deck like that?

I've been having a lot of fun with Phenax/Wall mill decks.

I went head on with a guy who had a reanimate deck and ended up running into this combo with boxed at and Tristani with Voices tokens it was tough...

Thanks for the ideas, and I've thought about mill, that'll be my project after my Jund. This is gonna be great. I'll make an article of the deck tech if I upgrade my account by then, just you guys wait and see!

Heroic decks can be fun if you build them right. The aura ones are really aggressive but fragile. I prefer ones based on instants and primarily combat tricks to keep things interesting.
That doesn't really fit your criteria though.
Maybe the Cyclonic Rift +Reap Intellect synergy in BUG midrange would be janky enough? the Whispering Madness +Notion Thief suggestion is really wild. I like it

You could do Whispering Madness + Notion Thief is sick! You should maybe add in the BNG Card that whenever an opponent draws a card he loses one life, it's Fate Unraveler

And if I'm gonna do BUG, then I could throw in Horizon Chimera

But I actually have a deck planned out, check it out guys: I SEE DEAD PEOPLE

I have been having a blast with my Maze's End TurboFog deck: TurboMaze. I really do enjoy playing control decks with "janky" wincons. Not everyone likes playing decks like this... But I sure do!

Wow, Gorgosaurusrex, I actually just threw together a Maze's end list a few days ago, and it looks exactly like yours, except I don't have Urban Evolution , and instead have Sphinx's Revelation (im gonna change that) and I use more Detention Sphere s. I like it!

I like Sphinx's Revelation but I have found it to be too mana intensive for this deck. The life gain isn't as relevant in a deck with 4x Saruli Gatekeepers and 3x Bow of Nylea . That's why I stuck with Urban Evolution - it's card draw AND ramp and a CMC of 5 - great for this deck!
All i want to add to mine is 1-2 more Kiora, the Crashing Wave and I'll consider it "finished". I'm taking it to another standard event tonight - wish me luck :P

Maze's End, albeit it is rather convoluted, is extremely formidable in the current metagame. The only deck it consistently loses to is Red Deck Wins, which is becoming less and less popular. Recently, I went 4-1 at FNM with Maze's End, losing only to a powerful Bant Control deck (I drew absolutely nothing useful that game).
As for how enjoyable it is to play, nothing is more fun than defeating a $500 Gruul Monsters deck with a grip full of Fog s. I am speaking from personal experience.

Junk reanimator is extremely fun and has the potentially to top 8. Reanimation cards like Shadowborn Demon , Abhorrent Overlord , Sylvan Primordial , and Angel of Serenity combined with cheap ramp (Elvish Mystic , Sylvan Caryatid ), effective reanimation, Obzedat's Aid , Whip of Erebos , and great discard engines: Lotleth Troll , Grisly Salvage , Commune with the Gods and the new Satyr Wayfinder . Reanimator is definitely a fun deck to play, and has placed in recent tournaments.

BoromirOfGondor I have little issue against RDW, surprisingly. My biggest problems are with MBD and Orzhov Midrange. Thoughtseize and Duress don't play well with my deck, lol.

I've been having a lot of fun with this deck lately: Orzhov Middish. Plenty of lifegain and controlling the board state to frustrate your opponents.

Screw what's "viable" and go all out jank. You could be surprised at how well janky decks win, especially at FMNs when nobody's expecting them. I myself have build and had a blast playtesting janky Mono-Blue control, Mono-Green Stompy Devotion, creatureless Grixis control, and Akroan Horse midrange-ish tokens. They're all fun in their different ways.
