What current decks will stand up after September?

What decks do you think will stick around after Amonkhet and Kaladesh cycle out?
What decks could get stronger?
What new decks do you think will emerge?
Um Argy, you do realize that Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation rotate out with Kaladesh and Aether revolt right?
The Scarab God will be no more
Approach of the Second Sun will be no more
I'm pretty sure the current RDW will turn into a Goblin Tribal build
Mono Green Stompy or Elves will come back to standard, as well as Wizard tribal being one of the janky brews that wins, kind of like New Perspectives combo right now.
Artifact midrange with the new Karn will definitely be a thing.
Someone is going to take one of the weird legendary creatures that they spoiled and turn it into an almost unbeatable deck and Wizards will ban either the legendary creature itself or another card(s) that basically gives the deck all of its power.
Those are my predictions! Hope that helps.

Merfolk and red aggro will still be alive and well. Red aggro usually best out of gate, then creature based decks, then control.
Most other decks will lose keys cards.
But it is neigh impossible to determine what will be strong with two sets missing. Core set and fall set will have cards that impact which decks are competitive.

I was too lazy to check!
/x Control will be quite strong I think.
has quite a few good Creature cards.

I've been playing a mono green build since Amonkhet and it does pretty well at Standard Showdowns already. I preordered my Steel Leaf Champions and Territorial Allosaurus.
There are a few other things I need from Dominaria but all in all Stompy Mono Green is looking to be fun.
I haven't seen enough filler elves to know if thats a playable route, but I will have no problem at all going Llanowar Elves into Steel Leaf Champion into Crocodile of the Crossing while i can. mmmmm swinging for 10 on turn 3... you better have removal or we gonna go game 2 real quick.

I think that Vampires and/or White aggro will be the beez knees and de facto aggro deck. Could be knights if it is in the cards from Dominaria, but Ixalan block only is quite enough for a competent deck.

I run fast vampire token deck from Ixalan. When ixalan leaves standard, imma cry. but it should hold up to dominaria pretty well

Mono-green stompy will be strong. RG Monsters could be good still. White weenies might make a comeback. WU Auras loses Sram, but might be at the fringe of playability. UR Wizards looks really fun, and has potential. I'm stoked for new control, but I'm not sure what colors it will be.

I've played against some good Vampire builds in both sealed/draft and in standard. Adding in Cast Down is going to make that deck strong. I think everyone is going to need a good board wipe in the side board more than ever.
Green stompy is looking like it's gonna be scary. I've messed around with a build using Druid of the Cowl to ramp into Crested Herdcaller and then drop the Ghalta, Primal Hunger

Mono green will always have to deal with removal, thats life. For the time being we still have Heroic Intervention and Blossoming Defense. Hopefully there will be a replacement when they rotate otherwise green will be pretty vulnerable.
In response to Cast Down I will likely be siding in (or potentially just running) Rishkar, Peema Renegade and/or Marwyn, the Nurturer if I am running enough elves. Along with Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Rhonas the Indomitable I will be running plenty of legends that Cast Down can't hit.
What Mono green could really use against cast down is a mid range maybe 4 casting cost legend. You could potentially curve out playing nothing but them and play Kamahl's Druidic Vow.

So, dominaria has been out for a bit and we're already getting our answer.
GPG seems to be done. Energy seems to be done.
Constrictor has a new version and mono red aggro is trying to find it's feet. There are a few variants on Vehicles that are kicking ass, but I don't know if you can really call them vehicle decks.
there doesn't seem to be too much else from the pre-dom meta.

A little late to the party, but this is what I see
control is likely going to survive; as most iterations do not employ Gearhulks. It loses Disallow and Cast out; but rotation won't outright kill the deck.

My money's on History of Benalia. Casing point BerthaMcmelon's B/W "Humans" Standard. These lists kick serious arse online and loose nothing besides Fatal Push and Concealed Courtyard (most lists running Vraska's Contempt over Cast Out).

spoilers are starting!
G/B just got an absolutely amazing removal spell.

LittleBlueHero: if you're playing Llanowar Elves turn 1, Steel Leaf Champion turn 2, and Crocodile of the Crossing turn 3, you're swinging for 9 unless you kill the Llanowar Elves

LittleBlueHero: actually, you can't play Crocodile of the Crossing at all after rotation. it rotates out.

with God-Pharaoh's Gift, The Scarab God, and much of the current aggro red deck rotating out, there should be no reason why RGx Dinos and BW Knights aren't top tier contenders. they have all the tools they need. Dinos can get a T4 Carnage Tyrant with haste, while knights have History of Benalia and are in the best colors for removal.

Atm I'm guessing stompy and control will be the new top decks. Knight-tribal might be a thing next set when Godless Shrine lets it run Benalish Marshal and chainwhirler gets the lands it needs to be in a two or three color deck.
Super pumped for wizard tribal although I don't expect it to be top tier.

KingOfSlivers I posted that back in April and said I enjoyed playing into Crocodile of the crossing "while I can" AKA until rotation.
After rotation Stompy is still going to be a good deck, we have bogle horse (Vine Mare) and a lot of people are splashing red to run Sarkhan's Unsealing.
We are also getting new toys with Nullhide Ferox and Beast Whisperer. Not sure what its going to look like exactly but the versions that were successful most recently will be losing Scrapheap Scrounger, Heart of Kiran and Lifecrafter's Bestiary primarily. Im perfectly happy replacing the bestiary with the Whisperer. Scrapheap and heart are harder to replace but im confident the geniuses out there playing competitively will come up with something.
Im actually taking a budget Bogle Horse deck to the store championships this weekend. I'm not giving up on the deck yet!

That's a really difficult question to answer without first seeing what decks the Pros will build.
They often have ideas that come out of nowhere.
My gut feel is what it has always been - Creature-heavy brews will dominate early in the season, making way for Control brews later in the season.
Control loses Torrential Gearhulk, but still keeps The Scarab God, and gets a better 2 drop removal spell, and a spell that flashes another spell that flashes something bqck from the Graveyard. It might still do OK.
I feel that mono will struggle. It loses pseudo draw with Bomat Courier, and Chandra, Torch of Defiance.
Approach of the Second Sun should still be strong.
loses all its cards, so it will disappear.
Merfolk will be stronger, but now have to deal with the new Instant that gets rid of most of their Creatures.
Mardu Vehicles is gone, coz they've lost Vehicles and all of their early Crew.
