Where does Archangel of Thune belong?

Where does Archangel of Thune belong in standard right now? I am thinking of using her in BWR midrange along side Desecration Demon and Blood Baron. Thoughts?
well she was quite good as a one of in here http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=1165858 (too lazy to give it an appealing link). In truth though she's probably better in a meta where people are just agressive starts into midrange dudes, right now it's more like overwhelming aggro with an insane devotion top end or removal city... with an insane devotion top end or tons of planeswalkers. Archangel will likely be better awhile from now, maybe when mono red prevents multicolored good stuff decks from being able to compete.

gnarlicide, I wonder if you hate the card because A) it kicks your butt, B) you can't figure out a way to use her either, or C) you want them but are on a tight budget for MtG. (I personally did not buy my playset, though).
SharuumNyan, care to expound on siding Archangel of Thune in G/W aggro a bit more?
Demarge, you seem to think she is a "hold onto for now" gem, but was that a slight inclination toward use in the BWR or BW midrange I sensed?

well her price is going to be hard to drop as she still provides modern pod a combo that doesn't get stopped by an ooze or deathrite, but I can see her easily doing a scary nose dive in price at some point during this standard

capriom85... I am going to have to go with C. Its not that I am on a tight budget, I just dont buy too much into core sets. I buy singles of core sets and only get the ones that I find really appealing. This time around, it was lifebane zombie, scavenging ooze and some other madness. I occasionally buy packs, but not as many as, say, theros or RTR block. I have never really had any issues with Thune as far as beating it. I hang onto Doom Blade for that business. All in all, she really is not worth her tag in my mind. G/w it looks just kind of fell by the wayside and before that happened, I traded two thanes for two Stormbreath Dragons. Which I feel I got the wayyyy better end of the deal in the end.

I have more trouble with fiendslayer paladin than Thune... SHhhh, don't tell the players at my shop that. They have not figured that gem of knowledge out. That card is immune to ALL of Jund midranges removal and currently there are 0 copies being played!

She seems to have stablized under the current conditions - has been much better under different conditions (at her worst right now, it seems - but still pricey).
But if the right situation developed that made her lose her place in modern and standard completely - I could see a nose-dive. There is a possibility of another combo kicking her off again - her ability is a bit unique and prone to such combos (i.e. breakable).

That is pretty strange that no one has caught on to that yet, gnarlicide. If you are a Jund player, though, I can see why Thune is not on your most wanted list. I feel like if I go BW instead of BWR I will use her, if not...I will wait and see.

Archangel doesn't really belong in any B/W/x color combo. The 5 drop slot is way too crowed already with Obzedat, Ghost Council and Blood Baron of Vizkopa . Angel is just inferior.

it belongs in here http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/white-power-2x-1st-in-fnm-game-day/

i'd put her in a b/w extort deck. since each individual extort trigger would make everyone huge. and its easy to stall until midgame with extort

@capriom85 - She's a great card to board into Selesnya Aggro for slower matches. Her life gain has on occasion been the only thing keeping me alive against a Whip of Erebos that can take games to a snails pace.

works great in my deck.. Mono White Devotion 4-0 FNM (undefeated night!)

I've seen Archangel do a ton of work in a G/W Lifegain deck this one guy at the shop plays. It's 3-4 Archangels alongside Trostani, Selesnya's Voice , Fiendslayer Paladin , Voice of Resurgence , and some of the less aggressive, more midrange creatures from G/W aggro (Advent, Mystic, Caryatid, etc.).
It could also be pretty funny alongside Phalanx Leader for all of the standard Township effects.

Maybe in a GW deck along side Kalonian Hydra and Trostani, Selesnya's Voice . You need plenty of life gain too, or its just a 3/4 flier for 5 mana.

I have one that I run in my white weenie deck in SB and bring in against slow decks or big creature decks. Check it out here. . . This is SPARTA!

Archangel of Thune belongs in the trash!!!
No, I just hate that card. I would say it would be best played in B/W midrange as a two of alongside 3x Demon and 3x Baron. Everything else needs to be removal. Maybe add Vizkopa Guildmage thingy, to trigger some ridiculous shit.
