Do you think Whisperwood Elemental works well in the current standard and if so in what sort of decks?
Personally, I think the only phenomenal home for it is in green devotion variants, as it is too slow and ineffective in other decks... Just my .50 cents XD

G/R Devotion won the SCG Open last weekend, and Whisperwood Elemental was a big part of the deck. It works especially well with Courser clearing out the extra land drops.

It's definitely right there with other powerful 5 drops in the format, which says a lot given that it's Green and thus often ramped out early. It doesn't have the immediate impact of Wingmate Roc or Stormbreath Dragon, but it still creates value on the turn it's played and gets out of hand if not immediately dealt with.

Whisperwood Elemental works great in standard. It provides a 2/2 every turn and gives green creature heavy decks a way to protect against board-wipes. Not to mention the 2/2s being able to flip face up at instant speed and it's synergy with Temur Sabertooth. As to what decks it is best in, it works great in Green devotion, G/R aggro or really any creature heavy deck that needs help against control.
