Who else has had success with G/W?

I've had great success with Super Smashing Bros!. Super fast, super powerful, super hard for aggro to beat, and kills before ramp sets up.
Any other G/W players still out there? Or has everyone switched to Bant?

I have a similar version, but with more creatures and taking advantage of Thalia, Guardian of Thraben . Don't really see the point in Farseek ...you can only search for Temple Garden or Plains . I'd rather have Selesnya Keyrune in that situation. Here is my decklist anyways:
deck:thalias-selesnya-horde . Enjoy!

I use farseek as a T2 dorkless play. I have ASTOUNDINGLY bad luck so anything that can minimize that is good in my book. Also, if I get my dork and T2 a threat but have no T3 play I can use Farseek to put me at Wolfir Silverheart with a mana left over for a Rancor . I've had this deck do EXACTLY that.
T1 card:Avacyn's Pilgrim
T3 Farseek + whatever else
T4 Wolfir Silverheart bonded to paladin + Rancor on paladin.
OP scoops.

Would you consider putting Thalia, Guardian of Thraben in your deck to replace Farseek ? She is a removal magnet, and your opponents will remove her instead of your big creatures. She is great against ramp/ midrange and slows them by at least a turn. Against control, their counters and sweepers cost more. Even if you are playing against Zombies, lets say, her first strike can block all of them for days and they have to pay more to Pillar of Flame her.

I think Ultimate Selesnya is a raw and uncompromising beatdown. :)

I'm finding splashing Blue just for things like Supreme Verdict , card:Sphinx's Revelation, and Drogskol Reaver (especially) is definitely the evolution of G/W midrange.

I'm playing G/W aggro at the moment. Average success sofar. Similar to thread Ohthenoises deck with a few touch up. Definitely no farseek. Resto I like in there to flash in and either soul bond with silverblade or silverheart or flicker tusk. I also like angel of jubilation over sublime purely due to price

Why all the Farseek hate? It's a simply amazing card, and helps you find any colors you may be splashing for. Even without a color splash it puts you a turn ahead in a midrange build, where you wouldn't be doing much on turn 2 anyways.

I think he was talking about using Farseek in an Aggro deck, like card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, Knight of Glory , Silverblade Paladin , Sublime Archangel -kind of Aggro.

I use it because I have a more top heavy curve than those decks. Topping my curve with 6 5 drops I need a little bit more ramp that can't be interfered with as easily.

I am pretty new to MTG, and after a failed attempt at making a U/W Azorius deck, I made a G/W token deck - Army of Life. I've had pretty good success with the deck so far. It can be slow to start, but the life gain can usually deal with this no problem and combining this with token generation makes it pretty fun to play! Having said that, I am having a really tough time against a particular mono-black deck that contains Blood Artist s and card:Geralf's Messengers. Once I figure out a way around those, I think I'll be good to go!

Right now I'm running a G/W trample deck that's worked wonders. Mwonvuli Beast Tracker helps me search for the specific trample fatties I need, almost always a Worldspine Wurm . I have Pathbreaker Wurm in there to give trample to whatever doesn't have it. Most people can't handle all of the trample, since it goes right through absolutely all of their defenses. Of course I have plenty of mana dorks like card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, Arbor Elf , and Llanowar Elves .

The biggest reasons why Worldspine Wurm will never see constructed play:
- His mana cost.
- He can't be reanimated.
- He's too easy to remove (Oblivion Ring , Detention Sphere , Azorius Charm , Selesnya Charm , Terminus , etc.)
- He doesn't have Haste and you'd have to use something awful (like Fervor ) to give it to him.

I mean, come on. I'm the resident Green fanboy on TappedOut and even I know he's not good anywhere but casual EDH.

i gotta say that i have been having great success with my g/w aggro deck. check it out and let me know what you all think. i haven't really gotten games to go beyond turn 7 or 8 since i tweaked it to look like it does now. i'm going to be very sad to see it undone when the format shifts with M14.

I have had great success with my G/W deck, but I have been splashing in other colors to test them out. It started with a splash of red for Huntmaster of the Fells Flip , and currently has a splash of blue for Detention Sphere and Drogskol Reaver .
I have to admit that the Reaver is just in there because I'm stubborn and want him to be good, though. Games where I've played him he either didn't do enough or turned into a win-more situation.
The Detention Sphere has saved my butt a couple of times, though, as my deck had a lot of trouble against Entreat the Angels .
