Why doesn't Ajani's Chosen see any play?

If i remember correctly it was very hyped up. It looks good to me with all these enchantment creatures.

4cmc for a 3/3 isn't very impactful the turn it comes out. Especially with the king, Brimaz, King of Oreskos providing a better body for less cmc, heck even Loxodon Smiter and Fleecemane Lion provide more bang for your cmc buck, which in any competitive meta, is all that matters, Value.

Might see play after rotation if the game slows down even more. It's not a bad card, only costs 1cmc to much to really see any play with the current card pool in standard.

He is too slow and too fragile for 4 cmc to be played competitively. The only way you can milk some value out of him would be to play him with 5 mana open, retain priority, then cast a 1 cmc enchantment to get a 2/2 cat so you get a 5/5 for 4 cmc, which is still pretty bad... then you realize his ability only triggers when the enchantment ENTERS the battlefield under your control so people can still respond to that by say, Lightning Strike -ing it. So .. he is pretty shit tbh.
tl;dr: Card is bad. Too slow. Too fragile. Doesn't do much.

Like aeonstoremyliver said, he's my boy for my Anax and Cymede bestow EDH. Also works with Mentor of the Meek .

High mana cost and dies to Lightning Strike . You need a lot of mana to use him really. Because you expect him to die quickly. But......if the enchantment creatures came in as auras......oooooo that'd be scary. Combine him with Eidolon of Countless Battles and a few other nice cards.......ooooooo scary stuff....Great cards to use together I believe. But have fun with him and his army
