It seems to me that a lot of people have gotten caught up in Theros and forgot to look back to a couple months ago. I haven't seen the Necromancer in too many Human decklists. With all of these great white humans as well as the occasional black one such as Agent of the Fates , WB Humans could be a thing. I don't feel like doing it, but I'm putting it out there. Make it so!

I feel like Xathrid Necromancer will be a support card, if anything, in the upcoming standard. Unfortunately, Anger of the Gods does pretty much hose it over. If anything, it has nice synergy, and might see fringe play, but not as a main win-con.

yes i consider it a support card, in the good way, it makes more difficult for your opponents to get rid of your creatures or at least it will make your opponent to focus on it

Pay No Heed is a great answer to Anger of the Gods . It saves EVERYONE of your crits and puts a WTF! on your opponent's face. I'm a fan of Xathrid Necromancer and with the new black and white humans from Theros, long as u can get his back, he's a dude.

And to be my own devil's advocate, Anger of the Gods . But still. (This is why I don't like making decks on a whim. I talk myself out of it)
