This was my first tri-coloured deck. I think it was also the first deck of mine that got to #1 on TappedOut.
It performed really well for me, and became known as the deck to beat at my LGS.
The Rally interactions were really fun and made it have a lot of variety.
Butcher of the Horde was a very interesting card to manipulate.
Nomad Outpost is probably my favourite land due to what it does, plus the art.
My favorite standard deck I ever made was a Managorger Hydra control deck that used flash creatures to protect it. It was a lot of fun to play, though by no means the best deck I've made. It just felt unique and fun.

first deck that comes to mind was Sultai Whip during Khans standard, with Nyx Weaver and Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, reanimating stuff like Torrent Elemental and Hornet Queen... those were awesome games.
But the deck that got me back into standard after a long Collected Company drought was Cat Combo... I didn't know my love of eternal formats until that deck debuted. Got me into reanimator in legacy and combo EDH. I just loved how it played so differently from the decks I was always building and facing in standard. All about finding the most optimal combo timing instead of attacking with creatures or trying to remove everything. The mirror match tilted me though, it was back to grinding out a modicum of value instead of fun. :P

My very first deck was in Theros and it was a sultai delve deck. After that I got a Selesnya Renown deck that my brother hated because of the card Enshrouding Mist. But my favorite color is red and I love and still play Izzet Control with splash black for Nicol Bolas

I loved Theros but the block is generally thought of as rubbish.

Fun fact! My third or fourth booster, had a foil thoughtseize!!! Shop owner, along with some other douches, told me it was worthless (cause you lose life...) and convinced me to trade it for an Ashen Rider i think. :s

One of my friends opened a liliana of the viel, in one of his first packs, and someone convinced him that it was worthless and the germ tokens were way better... he didn't know any better yet

WHAT IS THIS 'SOFT SPOT' YOU SPEAK OF, Argy?
SOUNDS WEAK.
BUT KNOW THIS: WOLF RUN RAMP WAS BEST STANDARD DECK EVER!
UNLIKE ME, BURN TITAN AND TREE TITAN ARE NON-LEGENDARY, SO YOU CAN GET MORE THAN ONE, FOR MAXIMUM CRUSH. ADD NAMESAKE LAND AND MEBBE A SWORD FOR EVEN MORE MAXIMUM CRUSH.
AH, MAYBE YOU MEANT 'SOFT SPOT IN OPPONENT'S FACE' ...
WOLF RUN RAMP!

Why? Well, it was the first Standard deck I actually brewed that performed even half-way decently. And I started playing it the same time I discovered the LGS that's become my absolute favorite. And OGW Standard was just amazing, with cards like ...
- Exquisite Firecraft: So spicy!
- Ghostfire Blade: Pretty much broken with Thopters, and full-on BUH-ROKEN with Reality Smasher.
- Hangarback Walker: Probably my favorite 2-drop ever!
- Pia and Kiran Nalaar: Amazing on its own, but made even better because I cracked a Foil at the Origins Pre-release
- Stormchaser Mage: Not quite Hangarback, but still one of my favorite 2-drops
- Thopter Engineer and Whirler Rogue: Hasty and Unblockable Thopters? Sure, I'll take some of that!
Such a fun deck! Thanks much Argy, for the excuse to dust it off!

Whirler Rogue! I loved that card, paired it with Willbreaker for some busted turns.
My most popular deck by far was Temur Ascendancy COMBO. Turn 6 draw your deck, destroy everything your opponent control and attack with infinite sized hasty creatures.
But I could challenge any standard deck in the modern era to face down this beast:

Green megamorph splash blue, my own innovation, dominated for 2 seasons despite my terrible play skills. It beat everything from Atarka Red (one of the most busted aggro decks ever) to Esper Control to all flavors of Abzan in between.
The game plan was the same against everybody: - Ramp into 5-drops Whisperwood Elemental and Prognostic Sphinx. Once you achieve that, you have unbreakable card advantage and board control.
- Courser of Kruphix provided life and land
- Deathmist Raptor came back over and over
- Den Protector rebought all your spells
- Counter magic was always ready to use because morphs and flash creatures could be played if nothing needs countering).
- And one-sided mass-removal in green: Setessan Tactics. And giant Polukranos, World Eater, who on a good day could eat anything your opponent has.
The game-locking combo was having Sphinx, Whisperwood and Courser. Sphinx would guarantee every turn a free land for Courser, a great manifest for Whisperwood and a good draw off the top. That's 3 cards per turn. Or if there's a problem, you could dig so fast through your deck to find an answer. You could even pull off crazy shenanigans like blocking with a manifested instant, let it die, then flip up a Den Protector and cast it.
And the sideboard was outstanding for the colors:- Clever Impersonator to copy and steal an enemy Dragonlord Silumgar
- Hornet Nest to flood the world with flying deathhtouch.
- Polymorphist's Jest to laugh at even Dragonlord Ojutai or monstrous Fleecemane Lion
- and sometimes, Aspect of Hydra. +10/+10 for 1 mana anybody?
