i have a few cards that i use in dual decks and i dont know what you would use for the abbreviation when you format them.

Like you have cards from a Duel Deck that you want to put into a deck list?
The Cards tab at the top of your screen has a list of expansions and the appropriate abbreviations. Most promo cards aren't available while foils and foreign language cards can be denoted with a letter after the tag.
