account upgrade/supporter upgrade question

last night i upgraded to "supporter", but i'm still unable to access extra features. i have not paid for the "account upgrade". do i need to do both? (i want to continue to support the site with the recurring $3 regardless. i just want to make sure before i drop $5 extra for the "upgrade".)

The account upgrade gives you the additional deckcycles and the ability to color your username and all that jazz. The supporter upgrade gives you secret benefits, ones that aren't so obvious. So you will want to get the account upgrade if you are looking for the visible benefits.
