Adblock and Tappedout

TappedOut forum

Ive been praying and I want to support the sight by turning off adblock. I did so but there are still no ads.

Humorously, I see the irony of seeking out ads. Nevertheless I'm wondering why there still are none. I use Firefox and actually removed the adblock add-on.

Someone know what's going on? Or are ads now gone on the sight?

My ad block still shows 20-24 being blocked on each page as I navigate around.

i use Chrome and the adds are very minimal and non-intrusive, one square on the right, and one banner at the top and bottom. Then its just amazon and ebay adverts for stuff i like anyways.

Well if they got rid of all the resource hog ads it may be time to try turning adblock back off. Would like a little more confirmation that there are no more video ads though.

Figured it out. I wasn't allowing cookies. it's sad I have to allow companies to invade my property.

that's strange. how were you using the site if you weren't using cookies?

Can't say yeaGO. I believe you take care of this sight? I hope this helps: Yes, in Firefox I disabled all cookies from all sites. Also, again, adblock (which I now make an exception for this site).

Enabling cookies allowed this site to function as it is suppose to. Disabling Adblock did not change anything. Disabling cookies and enabling Adblock were the two actions I needed to take.

I don't think it matters but might be worth mentioning I do not allow Firefox to save passwords or keep me logged in anywhere on the net for safety reasons.

Outside of that I believe my browser settings are default.
