Ads cover drop down boxes

As much as we all hate them, I realize the need for ads on the page. But it annoys me that I need to search for a page without an ad on the right side of it any time I want to use the drop downs above it.
Perhaps it has something to do with what browser/OS I am running, but it happens on at least two different computers with different OS. Chrome is browser of choice.
Resfreshing a few times, I see it is not all ads that cover. I just hit a string of them on two computers in quick succession.
This is 100% view.
When not on a laptop, I zoom in for reading on a TV across the room. Here is my normal zoom view for the site when using the TV.

well we definitely can't have that. thank you very much for the report.
is it just that one ad or does it seem to change?

I know I saw a video ad for Missus Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children covering my drop down, but I don't really remember them all; I normally try to ignore ads.
I refreshed several times just now to try and see how many were blockers and I stopped seeing ads in that spot all together.
Thank you for looking into it.

I'll try to get one next time it pops up. It was a Bloomingdales ad I believe.

Yes I still see the bloomingdales in that same position blocking the screen quite a bit.
I know I saw a banner type ad that did this at the bottom of the screen once, but it was in a place I don't normally scroll to.
