An idea for convenience

@yeaGO! ~ so my idea is fairly simple in concept but I wasnt sure if there would be a way to execute it smoothly for all you admins.

In the subscriptions page I wondered if there would be a way to have a multi delete function. Like instead of individual "X" in red, if they had like a check box and then towards the bottom of the page there was a button that said "delete all selected" or something.

This is mainly coming from when I was just auto subscribing on everything I commented on so it's my own fault for letting it go so long without deleting threads.

Thanks,

Bellock86

P.S. ~ what do others think about this? Worth it? More hassle than it's worth?

I am a fan, and it doesn't sound too hard to do, I work with a website developer and he works magic on them haha it might take awhile to get everything exactly the way the developers like it but it's a great idea.

I think we'd also benefit from a new subscription option.

If, on the preview page, we were given a drop-down menu or single-selection list where we could choose our subscription option for that post/thread, we'd have a lot more flexibility. I'm autosubscribed to everything, which means to unsubscribe from individual threads, I have to finish my post, scroll back down, and click unsubscribe.

I'm envisioning something like this:

Subscription options:

  • Subscribe
  • Subscribe to replies from original author only
  • Do not subscribe

The subscribe to original author would be incredibly useful. I often find on walls and binders that my notification feed gets clogged with posts from other users, which I don't want. Generally, I only care about the replies from that specific user on his or her own binder or wall.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

@Epochalyptik I like the sound of that as well. I have found that there are a few users I like seeing multiple threads from (whether it's the topic, feedback, or what have you). That would certainly make things easier to keep track of.

I meant the author-only subscription to only notify you if the original author of a thread, or the owner of the binder/wall, replied to that same discussion. I think you can follow other users, but I'm not sure what that does.

Oh gotcha. Yeah I've done that. (Follow other users I mean). You get notified if someone comments on their page or if they post a new deck. That's pretty much it I think.
