Community Poll: How would YOU organize our forums?
TappedOut forum

We're discussing how our forums—particularly our format forums—might best be organized. We're looking for a layout that's user friendly and logically grouped.
Here's the list of our current forums:
Site Updates
Deck Help
Spoilers, Rumors, and Speculation
Economics
Lore
Standard
Modern
Legacy
Commander
Limited
Pauper
The Kitchen Table
Online Magic
TappedOut
Social
Gear
General
The Trading Post
Challenges and Articles
Custom Cards
The Blind Eternities
Here are some questions to guide the discussion:
- Do you think we can group these thematically or categorically?
- Do forums need to be added?
- How do you use the forums?
- What sort of visual layout would be most helpful to you?

My vote for forum organization would look something like this
Different subcategories for different formats and such of course.

@Tibs: I think you misunderstand.
I'm thinking a grouping like this:
Format and deck discussion
Standard
Modern
Legacy
Commander
Etc.
That's the first level. You would be able to click on one of the subforums and you'd get this:
Standard
Standard deck help [subforum]
[stickied thread]
[other threads in chrono order]
It's pretty much the setup that MTGS uses with a separation of deck and format discussion, but packaging the two together in one forum.
The main intent is to clean up the top level of the forum display so we're not scrolling past twenty different forums to find the one we want. A more compact and aesthetic design would achieve that.

Why not an accordian style. For instance:
Standard (click to show)
- Deck Help (link to forum)
- Discussion (link to forum)
rinse and repeat for each.

I still think it'd be cool to have all the legacy stuff under one heading, all the standard stuff under one heading, etc, because it's a lot of scrolling to get through all the deck help forums and then get to the discussion forums, and it's just clunky.
