Cube Bug - "Not Enough Cards for this Configuration"

I've observed some strange behaviour with drafting my cube. I've often had this "not enough cards for this configuration" message when drafting it, usually because of rarity shifts in reprints (my cube packs are exactly 15 commons and 1 uncommon).
But recently it started giving me the message even though there are enough cards recognised at the right rarities. I fixed it by arbitrarily adding a bunch of Azra Oddsmakers, saving the edit, then removing the spares so it's exactly how it used to be. The validation complaint magically went away.

Could it be related to my use of custom cards? I did see issues with those before: https://tappedout.net/mtg-forum/tappedout/missing-custom-cards-bug/

Are you still experiencing this bug and if so can you potentially give more info on it? Devs seem to have trouble reproducing this bug but have implemented failsafes to hopefully catch it.
If rarity changes are an issue in the future I recommend defining a printing for the cards. I do that a lot with my own cube.
