Customisable Decks of Interest Feed

Most of the time I only make suggestions, +1 etc on deck types I have some experience with or am interested in.

This normally means I do advanced searches looking for recently updated or created decks that match these interest. I try to focus on newly created decks as they are normally the ones that would benefit from advice or suggestions whereas more established decks are often refined to the point where no good suggestions can be made.

Would it be possible to save these searches as 'feeds' that show newly created decks that match the criteria (something akin to RSS feeds or at least feeds that shows up somewhere on page linked from the user profile page)?

This way it makes it easier to discover new decks based around themes I am interested in, see what people are up to based around those themes and comment on new decks that have themes I am familiar with and might be able to provide some good advice on.

What about just "Save search"

I was thinking along the lines of automatically removing a deck from your feed once you've viewed it, like read and un-read items.

This way you wouldn't see decks you have already commented on / already checked out (maybe unless they've subsequently been updated in which case they could re-appear in the feed).

Well if you look at hubs its kinda similar. Its basically just a running list of all decks being updated within those hubs. Hubs can be formats or categories like Aggro. Though they're not combined.

You can go to your settings page and select some formats you're interested in and you'll get a customized button on the front page.

This is true however it doesn't allow the level of granularity I'm after that an advanced search does e.g. a list of modern azorius decks containing a specific card, which is where a saved search or feed might go that one step further. The read / un-read idea of a feed came to mind as it would allow you to focus on decks you haven't seen before.

Don't get me wrong the hubs are good to see what decks are doing well but they focus on cycled decks so I've often seen them before, this favours more active users which makes sense.

However, having an alternate way to monitor new decks such as saved feeds might allow those active users to notice more new decks and provide more suggestions and advice to people just getting into the game or just joining the site who might benefit from it more?

Yeah I agree I am just stating the features that exist today so you can make do for now.

As for the rest it's very interesting and I will need to think about how to actually make it work that flexibly :)
