Disparate Search Functionalities

There's a way to perform a "deck search," and there's a way to filter through one's own decks, but they have very different functionalities that is frankly frustrating at times.
Why is it possible to search for decks containing a certain card or in a certain format, but not in decks one has made?

VampDemigod I can see you've posted about a hundred decks on Tappedout. If you find the ability to comb through them managable, that's great. I've posted close to a thousand over the past decade, so excuse me if I can't always remember what every single one of them has been named. It's happened a few times now that I'm trying to track down a deck I've made many years ago, but it's not available on the search index and apparently I'm not allowed to search my own decks by contents.
yeaGO I hear you, but why not up the site's functionality by having all the search booleans applicable to searching through one's own decks as well?

Its just that it wouldn't really include all your decks given that we don't store prototype decks so i think it would be misleading. The functionality behind search is different mechanism... is there some particular filter that you would like to see more specifically that could help you drill down better?

Ohh, I see what you mean. They aren't indexed in the first place.
Well, even understanding that fact, it feels like something is amiss in terms of what's filtered out. Unless I'm misunderstanding how some element here should work, if I search my Username in the Deck Search and narrow it down to decks containing Nacatl War-Pride , then presumably any non-prototype decks I've made including the War-Pride should be indicated. Yet if I do so, the deck Pride of Warriors does not turn up, and I have confirmed that it is indeed not a prototype deck. This is just one example; similar things have happened to me many times over the years here at TappedOut. Any idea why this might be the case?

We made a change several months back and i think some decks weren't added but i can try to add them and a resave may work for you in the mean time although that might be tedious for you, but try and see if that works for one maybe

All right, I might as well give it a shot. Hopefully this can be sorted out at some point.

there was some issue adding some decks to the index, which may have contributed to your issues. they should all appear soon and/or after a save

Because assumedly, you know your own decks better? They have to code every function of each separate search, they probably decided people would probably know their own decks well enough that they didn’t need to add it.
