Draft idea

How about, after finishing your deck in draft (this only counts for 1v1) you finish your deck and go to a place that looks like the playtest but with an opponents board in front of you, the hands are kept secret, and maybe add a personal/ better way to scry/surveil

So basically, we fight each other using each other’s decks

So, you want to draft for free basically? And you want WOTC to actually lose money by not buying packs for real drafting?

I meant, using the online simulator, and playing with it, but it doesn’t have to be the best

It has nothing to do with being the "best" or not, it has everything to do with whether YeaGo will wake up one morning, grab a cup of coffee, sort through the mail, and find a kindly-worded cease-and-desist letter on the stationary of Wizards' in-house counsel.

Currently TappedOut occupies a position where it benefits Wizards financially - after all, it is in Wizards' best interest for people to have sites where they can discuss Magic and easily build decks. It gives Wizards free advertising and generally improves the game experience, without Wizards having to spend resources on maintaining and moderating their own forums.

Once you start creating a system that cuts into Wizards' profits by allowing them to play the game for free, that's when you attract the ire of attorneys. This would be doubly true for the improved Draft simulator you are proposing, since that means you are cutting into the sale of packs, which Wizards directly profits from, as opposed to the sale of cards on the secondary market, which Wizards does not directly profit from.
