Draft Order Average vs. Cube Average?

I tend to browse cards and design decks based on themes, i.e. UW Bird/Cleric/Angel deck, so I tend to use the card search and narrow down by color and type...
Sometimes this doesn't narrow it down by much and I may have to face 5 or more pages of cards. So, I would like to sort them in a qualitative manner, is that what the Draft Average sort column does more or less? If so, what is better or more popular? The higher draft average or lower? Only clue I have is it seems to follow that a higher draft average typically means a higher priced card, but I admit I really don't know what the draft average numbers mean...
Also, Why is Cube separated in its own column, are those draft numbers more or less accurate for choosing card popularity?
yeaGO says... #2
lower is better.... cube is just a different number since they can appear in stronger pools
